Only a complete idiot would compare the working life of a competition bulldog to a competition greyhound its not even similar it would be like comparing football to cricket just because both involve a ball !......a greyhound might have upwards of what 50 contests in its career a bulldog will be lucky to have 3 or 4.....how can you compare conditioning for a race to conditioning for a fight its like comparing Usain Bolts preparation to Anthony Joshuas.........starting with a fit and healthy body is where the comparison ends ! I think this is probably true for the relationship with some competition horses but my experience with my horses is different. I have only ever had one at a time, bought them as youngsters, did all he training myself and ended up with horses I could trust with my life. Not one of them ever left me if I came off, or tried to get me off. I would go so far as to say they looked after me on occasion. I even went camping, shopping and to work with them and they never let me down. They dont strike me as a 1 man/woman animal really but im sure they are all different,my mates wife has 4 at

I think its years of being ran into by big b*****d police horses at football has left a mental scar ! So if 1 hand is 4 inches why not just measure horses in feet and inches ?.....is it some sort of horsey etiquette or is there a clever reason ? I'm sure the horses will get over it with a bit of therapy ........ Charming......stick your clique up your arse then !

It makes you realise how tough these little ladies are my mates wife is a tiny little thing they had to have the air ambulance out on Boxing Day last year as one of the horses booted her she had to have a plate in her forehead and was out riding again a few weeks later.......the standing joke was my mate being at her hospital bedside saying " these horses are gonna have to go ".......she said " i know you worry about me but they are part of my life "........." never mind you i cant be with an ugly bird " he says much to the dislike of the nurses I never understood all that hh stuff it too

Whats fighting on the cobbles got to do with anything both them Fury boys have clearly stated neither of them have ever had a fight outside a boxing ring in their life. These Fury lads have supposedly been around boxing from a very early age.....Joshua had never lifted a boxing glove until virtually a full grown man......it is what it is !

All the great fighters through the ages have had off nights or fights they wasnt in particularly good shape for,coming through those fights is what adds to their greatness....lacking motivation is a pretty hollow excuse for a fighter at his physical peak to make against a fighter like Douglas.....and lets face it if not Douglas he would of come unstuck sooner or later as his pure boxing ability and certainly his pure fighting ability were just not up to the ridiculous hype that surrounded him at the time.....or indeed to this day for some people.

Max are you even aware of how silly you make yourself look when you do things like this ?................how can a game dog be game if he stops !!! With all your years working and conditioning bulldogs if you have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a dog who will take his death doing what he loves regardless of his conditioning.......then you carry on in ignorance it really makes no odds to me.

The Isle of Dogs hasnt really changed much over the years from Marsh Wall down its pretty much the same old pubs same old houses,all round the Nelson is 20mph now for some reason but apart from that not much has changed Ive always thought wherever extreme wealth is living side by side with extreme poverty it makes for a really interesting neighborhood with so many opportunities on both sides its one of the things i love about East London.....only difference now is the wealth has come closer aint got to go right over to the West End now Canary Wharfs here

Lovely looking animals horses but i must admit they put the shits up me a bit....a mate of mines wife does all that horse jumping malarky she go,s all over the country with them,beautiful clean graceful animals yet strong as f**k i dont trust them one bit she reckons you just cant treat them like pets and that they have absolutely no loyalty at all maybe its just because they are working horses i dont know......shes been chucked off,booted in the head,ribs crushed but the devotion she has to them is quite touching in a strange kind of way.

Some of us are not quite as naive as others In my experience and from what ive seen of life these groupie types....or sycophants i believe they are officially called.....is all a smokescreen to conceal a persons weakness.....almost a case of trying to be your friend because they are too afraid to be your enemy......but people who are equally as bad and equally concealing weakness are these people who desperately try to be your enemy and punch above their weight without ever throwing a punch.....trying to build a reputation by chipping away at yours.... its an age old tactic look at the fight

Never said that max. Your'e making things up to suit. I said it's clear to see when someone has never stepped in the ring and they are talking about setting shots up with jabs, using power or fighting out of shape etc. I watch lots of greyhound racing on telly, I've even been to a few tracks and had a flutter. But I wouldn't dream of getting in a debate with greyhound men having never walked the walk. Max stop pretending to know stuff you dont.....if you know Greyhounds thats great good for you............but stick to greyhounds eh theres a good lad Its only my opinion mate but i do think those old timers probably had a better eye for a dog and could more than likely predict what breedings would just click.......but no i agree all the tools are in place today for the breeding of far superior animals

That's what would be called a back handed compliment where I'm from Cheers, D. Possibly......then again for West Ham to be top 6.....Spurs to be 2nd...... Chelsea and Liverpool to be barely top 10......and Leicester win it so easily......it dont really point to the strongest season ever does it......but great it gives every player/manager/fan of clubs outside the big 4 inspiration.

Well if you want to say that it's true yes They both had thier pro debuts in the same year Hughie a few months longer than aj But then if you consider the time Hughie spent out of the sport due to his injury then it's not relevant also consider the age between them Hughie is a 21 year old and Anthony 26 Joshua never laced a glove on till he was 18 years old..........Fury was born with a gumshield in his mouth.....gypsy bred born warrior fighting since he could walk.......etc.......wasnt he ?..........cant have it both ways

I think your right there mate, it's all about watching them fly and them high fliers are Definatly good fun, but I do enjoy waiting for the The race team Thats what i dont get with pigeon racing it seems like a lot of hard work and dedication to just watch the last 30 seconds of them flying back to a shed.......im not knocking it as i accept theres a lot to it and its all very competetive etc.......but at least the work you put in with a dog you get to see his every twist and turn with pigeons you dont really see anything apart from pigeon shit do you ?...its not like they are interesting t

I would guarentee i have more experience with greyhounds/sporting dogs than Max has with boxing/fighting. Yet Max can be seen giving opinions on 99% of boxing topics........do you see me giving opinions on greyhound topics ?.......no.

When we was young we did anything it took to get out of the place but over time ive realised you cant change who you are......ive got close pals who still live in the East End,also some who like me have moved out but we still miss it.....i love where i live now its clean,lovely scenery etc ive really enjoyed country life......but ive never felt comfortable here....im a big horrible looking c**t who folk cross the road to avoid round here yet in Canning Town folk dont bat an eyelid.......me and my pals can go in a nice country pub round here and its all whispers and a horrible atmosphere most o

Thats right those " old hands " just bred the arse off curs like Bullyson and sold any buckskin colour dog they could get their hands on to all corners of the globe like ol Don did !................like i said mate those old tapes are great for historical interest but dont let yourself fall into the trap of thinking they were good old boys who were whiter than white..... time stands still for no man/dog and todays top competitors are far superior to yesterdays......and thats how it should be.
