    It was the only fight i watched in the whole Olympics but i dont think Joyce did enough to win myself......you couldnt ask for more in terms of effort and desire but the quality just wasnt there.... in amateur boxing pressure doesnt amount to much if your not landing scoring punches its why ive never been a big fan of the amateur sport its not a true reflection of the ups and downs of a competitive fight in my opinion.

    As Ron Greenwood used to say a club is only as strong as the players it can produce.........when hit by injuries todays clubs have to rely on its youth only the top 4 or 5 clubs in the land can go and buy their way out of trouble........managers can give youth an opportunity but they cant create it.

    I agree....to me the only people that can claim success on a dog is the breeder and the handler/conditioner.........otherwise we might as well put the success of the majority of the worlds American Pit Bull Terriers down to Earl Tudor !

    Just out of curiosity what would make you feel Stubblefield was any more responsible for the success of the Reid/Kingfish dogs than say Gary Hammonds was responsible for the success of the Nelis/Tug dogs ?......or have i misunderstood what you said.

    Think your missing my point mate what im saying is many people were importing a Mayfield or a Patrick pit bull for working reasons......people were not importing a Scott or Painter American Bulldog for working reasons so what difference did the bloodline really matter. For what its worth i dont think any of them made suitable pets they were the wrong breeds at the wrong time in the wrong country......just my belief.

    If the time comes when a peak top level boxer fights a peak top level mma fighter it will be the beginning of the end for both sports in my opinion.........it would be completely absurd to put Mcgregor or Diaz in a boxing ring with any top pro fighter same as it would be just as absurd to put Amir Khan in an octagon with a decent level mma fighter its the sort of thing people who have no knowledge or experience in either sport constantly go on about for what reason i do not know.......its like a child asking who would win a running race between Usain Bolt and Mo Farah !

    Up until a few years ago we used to be round my mrs nans for 2 o clock on the dot she was a lovely sweet old lady who lived for our visit on a sunday it meant the world to her 88 years old she was the dinner was vile but the conversation was great.....the dinners improved since she passed but its just not the same somehow.......still cant be any later than 2 though.

    I had a bitch imported direct from Alan Scott who was as good an alrounder as you could want and have seen a few very good dogs over the years but unfortunately the shit ones far outnumber even the average ones.If I was going to get another one which I'm not there is only 2 breeders in the UK that I would consider getting one from.The same Alan Scott who added Pitbull to his dogs to try make a name for himself?     I thought Mcgregor showed massive heart and poise in not panicking when under pressure.....towards the end of the second it looked like it was going the same way as the first fight and Mcgregor showed great mental strength pushing weight like that and knowing you have hit a man with your best shots and not moved him with half the fight to go is a daunting task but he stuck in and deserved the win by taking the first second and fourth rounds in my opinion. Personally i think a third fight at a lower weight McGregor would stop Diaz.

If a good owner takes a dog as a puppy, trains it properly, sets it's boundaries early and, socialises it well, the vast majority of dogs will be just fine. Also, if the right person, with the proper knowledge and experience takes a challenging breed and properly understands the dog, there should never be a situation that gives cause for concern.     Both of my first wife's brothers did "the Knowledge" - like you, they did it in their spare time and at their own considerable expense. Max im a nice guy who tries to be kind to folk but in certain situations i accept im probably a thoroughly unpleasant individual.......i know my strengths and i know my weaknesses........get to know yourself and find out your own strengths and weaknesses that way you wont find yourself having to resort to using the police to back people off
