I'd agree with this somewhat if you want a dog to put game in the bag or whatever then there's others out there that are better. obviously I'm not saying everyone drop your lurchers off at the dog pound and buy a staff my mates got lurchers Aswell but if you've a staff or any breed for that matter why not get it out in the field ? Look at fujis pom to see a wee dog like that out with lurchers puts a smile on my face everytime. Ive never said i didnt rate him....he was fantastic for the era he was in.......i can be technically the best footballer in the world playing against 7 year olds but once i step up in class my technique will be exposed.................yes Tyson looked magnificent until he stepped up in class.......many people like to give him excuses for his performance but as a former fighter i believe we should be judged on what we was not what we might have been.....myself included.

Ive discussed my career many times it was nothing to write home about in terms of achievement,at the time it kept a roof over our heads and paid the bills nothing more nothing less which was why i followed the money sharing rings with big names of the day in the best stable of fighters in the country at that time in some of the best gyms in the country.... i dont use my experience in any sort of " i know best " kind of way i,ll talk about boxing with anyone mate it doesnt matter to me how much a man knows or doesnt know im still passionate about the sport so enjoy sharing thoughts with others

I agree....i think theres an element of rebellion with some folk they think their a bit wild and out there if they ridicule God and come up with derogatory insults.....as someone already said some of the nicest most pleasant and generally good people ive come across have been Christians and people with faith.....yet some of the most spineless arrogant little shitbags ive come across have been the " stick two fingers up at God types "......maybe theres something in it.Plenty of atheists that are generally nice people too, just like some Christians are controlling manipulative people too. It depends what you class as " past it " in my opinion........we are around the same age and barring a year off with illness a couple of years ago ive not had a spell of more than a few weeks off of training since i was about 10 years old,not counting injuries of course.......ok i accept that very few people take strength and fitness to the levels i have over the years but even so as long as you keep your goals realistic the personal achievement that can be gained through training can serve you all your life i very much doubt i,ll ever stop training until i physically cant do it anymore i just

That makes you spiritual, not religious. Being able to find some kind of inner peace and calm in this crazy ol' world, no matter how fleeting, can only be a good thing. Long may it continue Well this is where ive been finding that bit of peace of late......an old Cypriot boy of about 156 years of age has come and sat with me a few times he can barely speak a word of English but we,ve had some blinding conversations it just doesnt even enter his head that God could not exist......as it is for millions of people around the world.....but i guess we know better !

For me this is where we just have to be true to ourselves.......a chap like Francie believes the bible to the letter and i admire that.....me i dont buy it.....but i would still class myself as a believer as i dont feel that a book written by men and inspired by God really changes anything in what i can see with my eyes and hear with my ears......so when i use those most basic of senses to find answers i get the same ones every time and i cant ignore that.......its what " belief " is......no ?

It was just an example.....but fair points. What gets me in these type of debates is how arrogant we are in this country......the majority of the world believe in God in one form or another yet here we are in Britain taking the piss and speaking as if we are so much more intelligent than the rest of the world.......yet look at the state of our f****n country !!!

Wowee, I boxed in amateurs as a teenager, ran for Yorkshire and was in the academy for Barnsley FC. That doesn't automatically mean I'm an expert on all these subjects does it? If that's the case then only the best fighters would be the best boxing trainers but that ain't the case. Adam Booth is a recent example of this, i can name many more. Adam Booth was a very good amateur and barring injury would probably have made a decent level pro.......just saying like.
