I love listening to shit like this good man thanks for the info There was a Toledo as well what was that like the big brother to the Dolomite i wonder....the Princess/Ambassador then you had the Marina/Ital i could never work out why they kept doing all that.......as for electrics i remember that Rover 7 series i think they called them Fastbacks they were big luxury cars but absolutely nothing worked they just had too much going on you,d turn the wipers on and the sunroof would open or something ?

I think it depends what V8 i know one is quite a bit different from the other maybe ive got them the wrong way round i know it was more of a balance issue as opposed to sheer weight i remember as youngsters trying to whack a V8 into a mk 1 escort.....cutting all the bulkhead and transmission tunnel back we didnt have the foggiest idea what we was doing it was just like a big Meccano set to us....then finally getting it to fit but without realising you have to uprate the brakes/leaf springs and everything ?.....funny days.

Id not had a Range Rover for years the last one i had was the same as yours single headlight job, must of been about a Y reg had them big window winders that took up half the door panel and looked like half the rear bumper was missing ?...then last year thought id treat myself to one of these SVR's......barely driven it for 2 hours when some little f****r reversed into me....poxy thing come apart like a dry biscuit !

The chap i know with the Jag also has an Ac Cobra that had the Rover V8 engine and it was terrible, lumpy and not particularly responsive, nothing mechanically wrong with it apparently the chassis of some of these kit cars cant cope with big weighty engines but as he said you cant have a 2.0l Pinto in an Ac Cobra .....so he had a Ford V8 put in it like what the Mustangs have and its spot on now, pulls like a train, sounds beautiful.....i liked them Stags though didnt they have the same V8 that the TR7 had they were good little cars in their day as well.

Nice....the one i posted above is green but for some reason it looks black in the pictures.....as Jags go i think the E Type takes some beating that big old V12 the way it purrs they just ooze character for me....im a bit peculiar with cars though it has to sound sexy ?....refined not crude, cultured not flashy...not loud and aggressive but just there....even on tickover you listen and you just know its there ....i better stop im getting a hard on here ?

Oh well we are poles apart there then mate ive never fancied any of the German cars the ol woman had a nippy little one a few years ago but even the amg,s just dont appeal to me at all im not snobby when it comes to cars at all but i do like a car to have some character about it i suppose it stems from when you are young we always want something we cant have ? then eventually i was lucky enough to be shown round the Maranello Factory in Italy and i just fell in love....everything from the smell of the interiors, the sound of the exhaust note.....the only trouble was i was too f****n big and fat

Im thick as shit with this sort of thing but id imagine this Coronavirus wont have been the worst thing in the world to come along at this time for you then Newkid would it ?
-
I probably didnt fully appreciate the history to it at the time i just got caught up in the whole " Englishness " of it....it had been built at the factory in Coventry i forget what its called now and the old boy who owned it had worked in the offices there and owned it right up till he died in the late 90,s....left it to his son and i bought it from there but at one point i was driving up and down to away games with all West Ham scarves hanging off it....certainly raised some eyebrows ? White interior is never a good look but i like them big XJR,s they have the big v8 that they used in t

Exactly the same list as mine would be....plus Star Wars and any of that Sci fi shit......oh and James Bond or Batman. I think you have to watch the iconic films just to say you,ve seen them but this little lot i just cant face watching.

I had a bit of a thing for those good old English motors about 20 years ago after a mate of mine bought himself an E Type Jag.... like a dick i thought id go one better and bought a 1953 Jaguar XK 120 that had been completely restored by a former Jag employee,i thought i was sitting on a little gold mine until one day i decided to actually drive it !!....from then on i literally just had it on loan from the garage now and again ?.....ended up selling it to a friend of mine in Cyprus who has it absolutely perfect now reckons he had it valued at 150 k.

It sounds really well organised to be fair, seems like as long as your all kosher and above board hmrc has already done all the background stuff the lads said there wasnt really even any form filling in they had an email with a figure, you confirm it and its in your bank within 6 days......what more can you ask for.
-
A couple of self employed lads i know have had their payment confirmation over the last few days....payment within 6 working days they said it was an easy straightforward procedure....quite impressive really.
-
Im not sure about that mate he,s great with his hands but there doesnt look an awful lot of brains and technique to that and Devon's biggest assets are his iq and technical ability...but that big jaw of his might take some shifting ? .....do you have an interest in the sport mate ? theres not many of us about ?
-
Never mind all that he made a lot of sense once you worked out what he was talking about ?

You,ve got a thing for " bubble guts " aint you mate i can tell ? Again, steroids have always been around its just different eras thats all....wide shoulders, thick dense limbs with a small tight waist was the look of Arnolds era....today its just freak size all over, even the waist, but thats bodybuilding trends for you. -
Easy treacle.....beans or no beans, being forced to eat until your stomach explodes cant be fun ?
