    If they were still producing deeply game dogs then somebody somewhere would be competing with them at a high level....and they're not.......a very game dog in the hands of a top conditioner is a hard pairing to beat and if they wasnt competing at that level in the 80's and 90's theres no reason to think they are now.

    I saw a clip of that 2 coppers were trying to hold down a big spade who got the better of them and took their taser and ran off.....they started giving chase and shot him. Seems fair....used to happen all the time in Starsky & Hutch...less the taser of course.

    Id be amazed if theres any straight Colby dogs in Europe today,most of the dogs that came to Europe years ago were off of competition dogs with owners who made their stock readily available....with every respect to the Colby family their dogs were simply not competing at a high level across America in the 80's 90's im almost positive a pure family Colby dog was never imported to Britain during that time.

    Thats a shame Gnipper i used to sit wondering why things when wrong breeding natives thinking i must of f****d up somehow but soon realised nature can just be funny like that. Best of luck with the mules anyway.

    Of course they do from an athletic perspective but like i said from a " showy " perspective Staffords with those short muscle bellies were often more visually appealing. Like comparing Ronnie Coleman to Anthony Joshua one is conditioned to LOOK impressive the other is conditioned to BE impressive.

    I was never really a fan of Staffords but they was a lovely little dog to shape up compared to bulldogs.....they always had that scatty over enthusiastic way about them whereas the bulldogs could be stubborn,moody sometimes just plain lazy but them Staffords would take just as much exercise as you could give them,lovely to rub down even when you hit a sore spot they would never even raise a lip it took me years to realise the personality of a dog could often dictate the condition you could put on them....a fit one of decent conformation often looked a physically more impressive dog than a bull

    Theres been good and bad points for me probably the best thing to come out of all this is ive realised i like spending time with my wife shes actually an alright sort of bird ?.....normally in day to day life we dont spend more than a few hours a day together but having conversations and larking about has been great over the last few months shes taught me to swim properly...ive taught her how to play chess,we,ve spent whole days out walking the fields f****n about play fighting and all sorts we're like a couple of born again teenagers......i didnt realise just how many songs ive been singing t
