Was sitting here about an hour ago on THL and started hearing screaming ,I looked out the window and seen about 10 people in the park infront of my house trying to break up 2 dogs fighting(a pitbull on a lead and a loose basset hound)so i grabbed a small piece of beeding left over from doing the floor in the house, went over and broke the bull off the sausage and headed back over to the house.but a few minutes ago i went out to the van to get something and the basset hound owner was there with the police and she must of pointed me out to them to say i broke them up ,but the Gard came over to me

lurcher330 replied to lurcher330's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Nice 1 stopend ,he will be out in the morning ,just hope this bit of rain keeps them in the ground but where going to a bit of permission that we haven't touched yet this season that usualy holds a few live earths ,if i can i will get a few pics -
They don't seem be hitting lads with only a couple of dogs they seem to be hitting large kennels mainly, so it must be something that is well organised either for profit or as it's been said some anti group doing it,we need to come up with something to compat this maybe some sort of private investigation that we can all sort out between us because it effects us all and the old bill will not give a fcuk about it

With all these dogs being stolen over here is making me think twice of eating from the chinese any more because they just seem to be dissapearing and no sign of them anywhere ,the working dog scene is small enough over here for someone to know something

it would have to be done over the season with 3 lads going out ,2 with dogs and 1 to more or less be a judge wit h maybe 10 slips each and the best out of of that goes on to the next round on another night there would be no way it could work with everyone going to the same place on the same night -

My pair of digging terriers
lurcher330 replied to lurcher330's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I know mate i have got rid of terriers that were like crocodiles because they were only good for a handful of digs a season but they are nice to watch working ,that's is main reason he has had so many digs my glen x bitch was constantly lying up recovering and me mates are into hard dogs but we dug over him while the rest of our dogs where lying up out maybe 3 or 4 times a week -
Would you put one of your dogs in a one holer at the bottom of a mountain stig ?? thats can be 1 of the times a dog that only stays for an hour or so can be handy
-
How does that work? Is it as simple as it sounds? sure is ss. you cut your turf in the summer, should be dry in two weeks, and bring it home. we cut enough in one go to last two years. theirs a small amount of work to do,but not much. and it smells lovely aswell

FFS i would be trying new spots with the terrier running loose with the collar on hoping he would drop into a hole ,1 foot or 20 foot you will never know until ye let the dog go
-
their begging is only a cover for their pick pocketing,i used to work a horse drawn carriage in Dublin city and i would see them trying to dip peoples pockets and handbags but me and the other lads on the carriages would let a roar at them when we would see them doing it and warn people about the c'unts, once i stopped 1 from taking a girls purse out of her bag ,i took the purse off him and gave it back to the girl and gave him a root in the hole and sent him on his way but 5 of them came back later that night and tryed to start something but they didn't bank on us carriage lads keeping tools w

My pair of digging terriers
lurcher330 replied to lurcher330's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
i wouldn't call him a hard dog but he does a bit of mixing up ,he never really needs more than a few days to recover after a days digging and thats the way I like a terrier to work, for me i keep them to dig with not for nursing wounds and getting a few digs here and there with them -
if them travelers never moved in there and the land was gona be used to build a needed children hospital or something them anti fcukers would be there protesting about that saying it's greenbelted land and it should stay that way for all the little fluffy bunnies cuddly foxes and playful badgers,a pack of c'unts(i wont actually call them c'unts because a c'unt is useful)pack of smelly tramps that just want to protest for the sake of it.
