  1. in my mind the dog was well gone so i was happy to see him doing well and i would be happy to give this lad another dog if i had a litter of pups going he seems to be good with them both (red)now called sid and his other bitch where in top condition.

  3. if the dog was in a bad way there would of been no questions asked i'd of just took him but the dog seemed happy and was in good hands so iv'e no problem leaving him be

  5. i just delighted to know he was ok he popped into my mind when i would see dogs similar to him at shows or seeing pic in here,he was in a bad way when i got him of a lad that didn't give a shite about him because he wasn't good enough on hares for him ,the thought of him going that way again wrecked me head

About 2 years ago i had a saluki/greyhound x whippet/greyhound dog he was great little dog on the lamp could hold his on hares and wasn't afraid to get stuck in on a fox but ferreting he had no interest in at all unless it was going well but i still would bring him along just to get him out but 1 day while ferreting i got a 4 foot lay up and was digging with only the small folding shovel and it was taking a while so the dog went into the middle of the field and just lay down in the sun then when i was finished and was getting the stuff together i looked around and the dog was gone ,i walked th
  8. i will try that mate. cheers. yea f**k sheeling out a cpl hundred quid to tell me its cramp mate.like i said its only on the odd occasion he does it.other than that he is tip top. just looked it up and apparently cramp is caused by 3 main things : - dehydration- lack of potassium - lack of vitamin DSo if you make sure the dogs has plenty of liquid you will combat the dehydration. For the potassium feed raisins, a handful of rasins contains double the amount a banana does. As for vitamin D - milk and sunshine are both great sources.   9. a mate of mine lost a bit of permission over his white dog he was out ferreting and the dog put a fox out of cover and killed it but the farmer was out for his walk with his kids and when he seen the blood on the white dog he lost the head because he didn't like the fact his kids seen all the blood on the dog but if that was a black dog he would of been none the wiser but he told him to get off the land and not come back

  17. sound sparky but people on this site just learn to agree to disagree because i really enjoy the shows all over the country but anyone that has not been to one wouldn't bother after reading some of the shit that gets written on this site and you can meet some very nice people and sometimes learn a bit by going to shows IMHO i think they are a great way to show that we are not all just blood trusty animals that love killing stuff but we spend a lot of time and money investing in our choosing hobby

Ah I know where ur coming from, the point I am making is that we are not always the first person on a bit of land, weather we have access or not, I got access to some land in slane and was told that nobody is lamping it, met tons of lads on it since,,lol,,, anyhow would love to meet up with ya and do a bit of red hunting soon, on your land of course,,lol,, yeah no bother John i still have plenty of other spot's that arn't destroied by fools that only lamp when it's not to wet or windy out even thou we did'nt come across much that night we still got this fella and a couple of rabbits

  20. my mate runs a white dog with no bother except when theres a bit of blood flowing from him or the quarry ,it stands out a mile on his coat and he will tell you that himself otherwise the dog is bang on
