  1. I know but theres no point in asking you were to get one ,you've been trying to get for years
  2. hope someone did get to them befor you like the day after... getting back netted is a slow death for any animal........... dont you think... atb x38 they wouldn't be left over the hole they would be left wrapped up on the ground somewhere ,when they are over the hole it's easy to pick them up but when 2 people are are lifting them and their not put back in the bag is when they get left behind
  3. i have 10 at the moment but i started out with 16 ,im a fcuker for leaving them behind but i know i will come across a few of them again when i go back to the earths unless someone gets there before me
  4. a decent strap over the shoulder and under the oppisitte arm i think is the best method but sometimes i use a rucksack but i hate the look of the rabbits when you take out of a rucksack
  5. well that would be the same with me in certain place's that has a lot of cover around them but in nice open places they are left to chance ,but in some places where you miss a hole 9 times out of 10 that's the hole you will get a bolt from.
  6. Do many use nets when digging or is to get a bolt and let a running dog chase and catch better sport, i start using nets last season and i accounted for around 20 more because i find some times oule Charlie can slip out sometimes before you or dogs even notice him ,but with nets he can be lifted and let go in the field and then give the lurcher a run on him
  7. i have seen pure mongrel street dogs that would tag along out on a hunt when i was a youngfella go to ground and work like a demon ,often got into trouble from neighbours bringing their dogs back smashed up or sometimes the dogs wouldn't even come home
  8. I will let my ground terriers do a bit of bushing but only 1 at a time and they will have the collar on and with a bit of luck they will drop to ground ,but i have a couple of terriers there for soley bushing when i work them with the whippets and they have dropped the odd time but they never stay too long they are only rabbit terriers and they are worth their weight in gold for what i do with them
  9. any one with with a decent bone bone in their body will drop you down a bag of meal or something, fairplay the pups look well
  10. once the terrier has the sharp end i have no bother taking a fox by the scruff but my fcuk if i would put my hand up a tube to a cornered fox and take it out if a terrier didn't have a hold of it
  11. i was offered a pup mate i was just buzzing wit him how did you and Mcgrath get on the other night got a fox and a rabbit Nice 1 Al

  13. i had the same problem with my black lurcher and a friend of mine gave me a mixture of pig oil and sulphur what he uses in his horse to bring back the hair on his legs after it has been out on grass and get's bog scallted and it works a treat.www.sussexcobs.co.uk/pigoilandsulphur.htm
  14. I know that Dev but i have seen some half arsed draw dogs bay their quarry for 5 mins before going into grips and then scream like a bannshie while drawing. lurcher330 if u are still standing after 5 mins of the dog baying waiting for the dog to go to grips u would need to look at urself mate and is it worth feeding i agree with dev in what hes saying i wouldn't own a dog that does that and that's what im saying if a lurcher it might be ok at other jobs but if it's a full wheaten it shouldn't leave the field so i agree with you and dev also but if i don't own the dog what can i do
