    me and my sons do alot of work with my dogs but i dont go out drinking or anything like that i would rather go lamping ,ferreting digging or bushing so all my dogs get plenty of work

    this show will be a bit of crack just before christmas and if yis are doing that much hunting 1 day off wouldn't make much difference. iv'e been out every weekend and some weekdays this season already and a day at a show to meet up with a few of the lads i know that otherwise i might not see until next summer will be a nice change.

    nice dog mate looks the biz there my 2 wheaten xs i'm running at the moment the one in the bottom pick i like .i run a couple of dh x's and 2 bedy whippet gh and theas are fast dogs what are the wheaten x's like for speed a turning budd no one wher i am from run this x its just bullxgh od person with old type lurchers Mate i use them for all sorts of work ,ferretting, bushing,lamping and and they come along when i'm digging ,they can handle all types of quarry day or night and they have even won their fair share of races at dog shows in the summer so yeah pretty quick ,can turn wel

    theres plenty of rabbits in the fields to race dogs against this time of year ,racing is only a bit of crac for the summer months

    Iv'e being doing a bit of lamping with a chap lately and he brings his camera with him and he has taken some quality pics and put on here and when they go up it just bring more enjoyment to the night we had looking forward to the pics going up and showing a few of the other lads that we hunt with what sort of night we had

    Me uncle had 1 of these when i was younger,was getting ready for it's 1st rally and took it out around some back roads on the Dublin Mountains ,came around a bend a full pelt and straight into a herd of sika deer flipped it and wrote it off

    i have 3 lurchers and they all get plenty of work,i might take 2 out with me during the day bushing a few rabbits and foxes and then i could be out the same night lamping with the other dog,my old dog is a 9 year old 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie still going well but is starting to slow a bit but he is great for bringing my son out because he is easy to handle but my 2 wheaten x bitch's are a bit strong for him 1 is 18mths and the other is 5 years old,and hail, rain or snow they get out to do some sort of work every day unless they are sore or something comes up unexspected that keeps me away from

    Mate your dog might of been able to run the 1st one for another 4 mins no bother but if he had just killed before his 2nd run his edrenelin (i know thats spell't wrong)level's would of been well up and that can take more out of a dog than a long course but a decent break between runs to let his body and mind calm down would of done him the world of good,just keep him fit and keep em at it and enjoy him ,their not robots their flesh and blood

    I thought that what this site is about ,sharing the trills and spills of our game ,and the most interesting threads on here are the ones that tells the tales of a day or nights work and all the better if they are accompanied with pictures,when we go out we always take a few snaps on the phones or with the camara and it's even better when ye have the pics to the lads that let you down who were meant to come with ye,often sent a pic or two to lads all hours of the morning showing them what they missed out on
