  1. Penny have to correct you there, you can work away at fox over here, as its perfectly legal, ( i'm in Antrim), good luck with them.
  2. Winnie, your spot on, for the price of a few extra drontal tablets, feeding them whole is the best grub in the world.
  3. the Tag thing is in the back of my mind mate, i'm keeping a close eye them, no work on at the minute so i'm with them all the time but my gut feeling is that he'll be fine with it.
  4. his coat fairly changed, looked very tight when he was younger.
  5. cheers mate, fingers crossed they work out alright. what do you think looking at the liver bitch, with that colour could she be a straight half bred ? i always thought first crosses were all black. your pups look spot on, a bit heavier than mine maybe, that snap of Milly had be in sticthes , cracker pic. i'm well pleased with my dog pup, he's no bother and sensible with it, kenneled the new pup with him last night and they curled up together not a bleep out of them.
  6. bumped into a old friend recently, who just happened to have a liver bedlintgon x lakeland bitch ready to pup and offered me a pup gratis, how could i turn him down, i picked the little bitch pup up today, the sire was a 8 yr old John Cowen bred lakeland who was unfortunately killed not long after serving the bitch. not sure if this colour is called liver or not, as when viewed from the side, she's actual marked like a lakeland only its chocolate and liver ? 4 pups 3 black n' tans , i took the full black bitch my daughter Rosie with the pups
  7. thanks for the replys lads, sounds good, heres a wee snap of the bitch pup only 4/5 weeks old, dam is a liver beddy/lakeland cross, not sure of the percentage but she's definately threw more to the beddy, looking forward to getting my hands on her.
  8. likewise i wouldn't tolerate a fighter, bred a bedlington dog years ago that was a nightmare, had to be treated like a pitbull, couldn't be let of the lead in the presence of other dogs, he would run pass a medium dog to jump on a larger one. don't think there much you can do to stop it once started, personally i'ld get shot of it.
  9. Jocko, someones telling you porkys mate, obviously they're not the workhorse that a purpose bred lurcher is, but you'll get a decent nights lamping out of a well bred whippet no bother, they're well suited to short runs and recover very quicky.
  10. i'm picking up a pup in a few weeks , sired by an 8yr old John Cowen bred dog, which is still working away. don't know much about them, any opinions, pics ?
  11. couple of shots of pups i bred last summer a year old next month, both 21"
  12. Martin, book arrived safe and sound today mate, thanks.
  13. looking well David. another few snaps of my pup of SJ, 5 months old and a wee touch over 13 1/2 inches.
  14. i keep the ferrets in the dog run, so pups are well used to them and don't view them as quarry.
  15. i'm sure they do alright on it but its not for me, i wouldn't feed my dogs dry food, so same applies to my ferrets.
  16. sound advice again, i reared several litters on rabbit carcess. good luck with them.
  17. no call for embarrassment MC, shit happens as they say, i'm sure it'll be well worth the wait. good luck, Lawrence.
  18. any word on a delivery date ?
  19. mix it up as much as you can mate, i always try and feed at least 3 different kinds of meat or subtitude fish for one of the meats, they get something different from each type, not neglecting the fruit and veg of course.
  20. good post Rainmaker, don't think anyone could argue with that.
  21. i find the drontal oral suspension liquid prefect for litter of pups, a lot easier than breaking up tablets and more precise, every pup gets the same, i think 100ml is around a tenner and lasts a fair while.
  22. your pup will handle chicken wings with no problem, break them up if you wish but theres really no need. your vet hasn't a clue and he's not alone in that profession.
  23. he's had a few young rabbits Mickey, thats about the height of it mate, i think he slightly younger than your own but happy with him so far, early days yet.
