  1. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fresh-Bees-Pollen-90...1QQcmdZViewItem bee pollen, just realised other link isn't working.
  2. thought you's might find a few of these useful well i use them anyway http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fresh-Bees-Pollen-....1713.m153.l1262 i get my bee pollen here, the cheapest i could find, i use it myself as well as the dogs. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Wet-Nets-Angling cheapest fish oil i've found, their salmon oil is great stuff. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Natural-Horse-Supplies i use their herbal shine but loads of stuff there suitable for dogs at a faction of the price of elsewhere http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Campbell-Cooper-Countrywear got a waxed jacket of these for 19.99, real
  3. no Neil you can't, nor in the north of Ireland either. I'm not happy taking any dog to a money grabbing b*****d, sorry vet, thankfully i haven't been near one in donkeys years, with the availability of drugs, the internet and a bit of common sense most things can be home treated. i think the last pups i jabbed cost me around £4 each, a vet would get them in bulk for less than a quid, even at £25 its a hell of a mark up.
  4. dead on Neil thanks, you live and learn, i'll give it a go mate.
  5. i feed it the same way Neil, but never heard of putting in their water, do you just drop it in raw ? ditchshitter its a doddle to grow mate, if you've none handy.
  6. i use straw for one and shredded paper for the other( he soils when bedded in straw but not on paper, work that one out) but only when its cold , during the summer months i don't use bedding at all.
  7. antibiotics won't do a thing for it and as per usual your vet getting his hand in, its the same as the common cold in humans, i've had good results for myself and dogs using Echinacea , worth a try.
  8. check out the stud dog section on the working whippet forum http://blackwhippet.**"£$%^&*(101.com/index.cgi?board=stud
  9. now genetics is not my strong point, so this could be complete ballacks, but if you mate the two half breds together, could it be possible to end up with a litter of 1/4 pure bedlington, 1/4 pure whippet and the other half a mixture, i think from memory thats the way Mendel's theory works it out but as i, that say could be balllacks... I'd give it a go just to see
  10. http://www.grandcarpetmill.com/ i use one of these, i think it worked out around £350 including delivery, very quiet.
  11. mate , i wouldn't trust those clips as far as i could throw them, the weak point with them is the very small light pin that holds the locking bit together, basically its shit and not suitable for holding a strong dog. plenty of kennels fight could have been avoided had these not been used.
  12. i should have added that they are Nimrodel bred, anyone working this line, would be interested to know what you think of them?
  13. just wondered if anyone has worked any whippets from this kennel and what they thought of them, thanks.
  14. you couldn't ask for better than that frank, cut out the red mills and i wouldn't mind that diet myself.
  15. dream on lads, i expect hatton to give him a hard fight no probs, but mayweather, hatefull wee b*****d that he is, is the best boxing in the world at the minute, floyd by wide ud for me, i wish it was different but thats the truth of it.
  16. i've used it and sa 37 in the past frank, i think the sa37 is better stuff, though to be honest, i feed a barf diet nowdays so i don't feel there's any need for either.let it eat them rabbits frank and it will not want for much mate. i have also used bonemeal , i think its nearly all calcium and far cheaper than the two above . good luck with the pup,its a cracker.
  17. far easier on the lamp or bolted by ferret during day. catching rabbits unaided during the day is never easy, in my experience anyway.
  18. i had one that took fox and wasn't never badly injured, i think he only ever took two or three bites. if they're game enough and also have the knack for it, theres no reason a whippet can't take a fox. whats the average weight of a fox ? i'm sure most whippets would have the upper hand in that department.
  19. no personal experience of it mate, just found this. http://www.barkbytes.com/medical/med0023.htm was the dog injured recently or did the vet say it was inherited, i'ld get a second opinion anyway, i wouldn't trust vets as far far as i could throw them, especially when they mention an op. good luck.
  20. no danny, as the lads have said they're fine raw but don't feed cooked. whats the opinion on feeding fresh rabbits, guts, fur and all ? i've had dogs look great on this diet, though you have to wormed them often.
  21. sounds like it could be whatever your using to clean the kennels, bleach would produce symptoms like that if you returned the dogs to their kennels before the bleach has dried in. agree with ds it doesn't sound earmites. regarding mites , after having a very bad case of this a few years back i now do all the dogs ears very 2/3 months with thornit powder and have never had any problems from this. good luck getting it sorted.
  22. sound advice from all there, i woudn't foresee any problems.
  23. coat wise its works out about half n' half, at least it did with the couple of litters of 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddys i bred, half the litter will look pure bred greyhounds and the other half a mixture of broken and rought coats.
