  2. Looking good bb. Good luck with him next season pal.
  3. I think the darker the red the tighter the coat. So yours should have a tight short wire coat mate, just the way i like them . To many have longer wolly coats for me.
  4. Looks a good day mate. Nice pics.
  5. Nice looking pup. Good luck with his training.
  6. I only heard a few weeks ago he was ill, he was a true gent R.I.P. He has bred some excellent working / trailing dogs and his dog Cardey Keas of Shadowbrae is a cracker and the sire of my bitch fern.
  7. Looks a cracking pup pal, good look with his training.
  8. Thanks lads, she has turned out well, couldnt ask for more. Just got her lined last friday to another athletic hard hunter, will be keeping a pup myself so fingers crossed it turns out like Fern. Good timing as well, she will have 2 mounths to get back to fitness for the season.
  9. Nice 1 mate, i look forward to watching his progress. Good luck with his training.
  10. Depends if you are botherd about her running in or not. If you are using her to bush rabbits for a whippet it dosnt really matter, so if she gets in the rabbit pen all hell could break loose Get her some dead rabbits to retreive so she gets used to the smell, then take her somewhere where there is a few about and she will hunt them no prob. I use mine with my lurcher, but on shoot days when the whistle comes out she will not run in. It all depends what you want from her.
  11. You should have no problems mate. What you working the Lab with, eg Gun, Lurcher etc and how keen is it already?
  12. Mine is a small athletic type who hunts hard and her small size helps her getting into cover. Fern at a year She is now 3 years She has alot of trialing lines in her pedigree, which alot of them are breeding smaller and fast.
  13. Where have the replies gone? I see the Server has been down but can we get the replies back, i have been working away and not had a chance to read them. Cheers Dave.
  14. Went to have a look at 2 Delfleet Labrador Studs yesterday. Delfleet Bracken and Delfleet Huckleberry, both were excellent. I have seen pups of these dogs and i have heard alot of people recommend there working ability, i will also see them run before making up my mind. I was just wondering if anyone has come across these dogs in the past? By the way here is a pic of Fern my bitch, 3 years now. ATB Dave.
  15. Very nice pal, like to see them athletic ATB Dave.
  16. My Lurcher was the same mate, until he got to an age when i started working him. Then every time he was put in the truck he started to realise he was going to be worked. He now can't Waite to get in.
  17. Sounds good pal, good luck with it. Get some pics up when you get it mate.
  18. What you on about, them pics are cracking pal ATB Dave.
  19. Nice looking dog mate, looks like the same type as my bitch. If you get his papers you will have more opportunities to use him, it should not make a difference but it dose. atb Dave.
  20. My Lab bitch is only just over 21" she is off trialing stock which is also worked hard by keepers, which makes her light built and fast. I did all the usuall training until she was 7 months, i then stopped all dummy training and started light rough shooting, all a young lab wants to do is retrieve, but the only way my bitch got a retreive was if she hunted hard and made the fluch for me to shoot. I dont know if this made her keener ( i guess alot was already in her) but she hits cover like a self harmer and when i get complements off lurcher lads when i use her bushing i know she is the busi
  21. What you using it on pal, lets see some pics. Dave.
