All proper fishermen know that all game fish waters have restrictions in place for different stretches of water. Some are fly only some are all methods, I had never heard of worm only, but it takes all sorts I suppose. Game fishing is far better than fishing for fish that have names, and almost come when called TC

Walshie was that the pool below the bridge? About 10/12 years ago a chap caught 2 salmon on the same hook from that pool. He was bunching with worms and the first fish took his bunch but expelled it through it's gills. The worms carried on drifting down stream and another salmon took it. He landed both fish after a titanic struggle. TC

Litter brother.... Either of you two ever breed off them? or did they wear out before the chance arose? Mine killed himself on a rabbit just short of his second birthday. Extreme prey drive, too much in my humble opinion, did not know when to ease up. And if that is the dog I am thinking of he done really well for himself, but if he was bred from I cannot tell you. TC Hi Tiercel,..as you know,.there is often a fair bit of variation in herding dog / running dog composites,..I have found that it takes a few hybridisations, before the pot stops boiling over,..and things fin

This year I am able to offer a set of net knitting needles The set consists of two 10" long netting needles and two 9" purse net needles. The purse net needles will fit through a 1" purse net ring. The needles are made out of Sapele and while not indestructible they are quite strong and I still have some that are 6 or 7 years old and seen a lot of work. There was quite a positive response when I posted the topic of how they were made and quite a few asked to buy some well now is your chance, and don't forget that all the monies raised goes to the fishing comp charity for this yea

Same as I did last year I am offering one of my Pocket nets as an auction prize for the fishing comp charity. The net is 5 yards long and consists of 10 pockets, they have been extensively tested by Socks in all kinds of conditions and once we sorted a few things out were not found wanting. The auction will start with immediate effect and finish next Friday at 9pm. So don't be shy for this worthwhile charity. Auction number 2 TC

It seems clear that people in general give to beggars, I wonder why? There must be many reasons from 'there but for the grace of god go I,' to perhaps salving their conscience, that they have and others have not? This thread has made me think. TC

What is it about you boys? You all think nothing of killing pregnant Doe's in the spring but shy of killing young rabbits at the end of summer. There will not be many who can produce a photo taken, even this week, of a pregnant doe at this time of year. You kill your own sport by ferreting through to March and even April, some even later, and I am not talking about pest control. Instead of starting earlier in the year because it is harder, you wait and loose some good opportunities, you will not have as many lay-ups as most of the rabbits that are about are big enough to bolt. Yes you will get

stopping ain't easy for everyone..ive stopped without using e cig but I know a few who now use them instead of cigs..Yes only because thay are there to use. It's easy you just need willpower and keep your mined occupied. Folk don't feel the need to smoke it's the fact of having a cig in your hand So where does one of the most addictive substances known to man come in to the equation then? What a load of bullocks TC

I could never get a blank without any air holes, even tried a car jack to get more pressure in the mold but it did not work as the HDPE was going cold too quickly. I think a heated mold is needed as if I tried to increase the temperature it would just burn the hdpe. TC -
I done them for years, it's great when your getting rid of stuff then everything you take is profit. But once you start down the road of buying stuff to sell, what you make on what you take drops dramatically. I tried to work on 100% mark up so 50% of what I took was profit. Before the recession hit it was great as people were moving houses and just wanted to get rid and not too fussy what they got for the stuff just so long as they did not have to carry it home. I would go to one boot sale on a Saturday in Swansea just to buy. I would buy the stuff that would sell in a country boot sale i
