I wear a dust mask when routing and sanding the sapele and the Iroko they are murder for dust. The Iroko is quite brittle as well. TC I'm always kitted out when sanding ect, but this was the first cut with a chopsaw. The piece was of a decent size admittedly but I'v never had any wood do that to me before,it's like my lungs were allergic to that specific type. Very odd. I know I had a very small splinter of it once, and it sweall up and went pussy within hours. TC

No, those were made a few years ago, I have not made any since till last week when I made a new batch. Different to these ones. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/344970-a-busy-week/?view=getnewpost . I will be putting some of those up for auction for the charity fishing comp. I have had a few pm's and some have expressed an interest in buying them. So why not let them bid for them and the monies go to the fishing comp cause this year. TC

Most BEW get along OK work no different to any other ferret, although as stated above you do get the odd one that is a bit loopy. Certainly not a cull yet. BEW is really a bit of a misnomer as once they have their winter coat they have black guard hairs. TC

Yes tiercel it was my first thought but is definitely not deaf, plays ok etc seems a normal kit except for the colouring. Waardenburgs can cause deafness but not in every case. Humans get Waardenburgs also but not accompanied by the deafness. The main clue with that kit is the four white paws. TC

Since I cleaned the shed out about three weeks ago, I have been itching to get back to some woodworking I found some blocks of Merrante (?spelling) Sapele, Iroko and enough Oak to make one needle. So this week I have been making copies of a Loomis 10" needle. TC

I 100% agree with you there Francie. If they feel the time is not right and they still feel a quality of life then the time is not right for them. But what about the people who have passed that stage where each day is intolerable to them, do they not deserve a say in their destiny? TC .

To be honest Chris, I doubt it. Although your Irish sparing partner may say different? As hunters we know that life is finite and most of us try and bring that about in the quickest least painful end for the animal. If you transfer that ethic to humans, why should we not be allowed the same privileges that we allow the animals we hunt? TC

The truth is they were not "forced" to cancel the evening. They were told they face prosecution if they continue. If this was my Mother i would carry on regardless, safe in the knowledge that i am doing whats best for Mum. The police, British army, Marines or Chuck Norris couldn't stop me. I find it quite pathetic that people choose to listen to this rubbish and can't think for themselves. I would quite happily stand in court after the fact and state my case. I've never seen it written so went with phonetics. Stupid me, applying English phonetics to Welsh! Taught to me by a rather cute ginger mechanic in Suffolk. It's been vital in dealing with arsey Welsh sub-contractors. They always looked rather shocked when it comes from a well spoken Englishman... Every right minded person would agree with what she wanted to do. But what has made me really mad is that people who do not know what she is going through are willing to stop her. For no other reason than they can. This country is being run by mindless minorities, who if the shout loud enough and often enough get heard. And the cannon fodder that make up most of the populace listen, because they do not have the brains to think for themselves. One really wound up. TC

No they live in Swansea about 12 miles away, but I have been following the story in the local press. TC
