  1. One of the best moments of the whole weekend for me was a beautiful young girl came in and wanted to know how to make nets. She was left handed and had nails like Bella Lugosi in a vampire film. But fair play to her she got it, within 10 minutes she was knitting away like a good un. TC
  2. What can I add? I have just had the most pleasurable weekend I have had for some years, spoke about nothing else but long netting and long nets to people who actually wanted to talk about them. I also gained some knowledge off other folk, who do things differently but with the same outcome. It was brilliant to see some people older than my self who still have a little dabble with the nets now and again. One chap about the same age as myself recalled to me how his father used to make nets out of cotton, I was captivated. He went on to say how his father would set the nets up on the miners cric
  3. Young, bright and articulate. Nothing like his dad, takes after his mother. TC
  4. I have never been afraid of the dark, even as a small kid I used to love going out in the dark. Although I will admit the first time I heard a sheep cough at night it did frighten me, but I was 8 at the time. Many years ago I lived in Brecon and used to go for a night out to Merthyr, the A470 is a long and desolate road from Cefn to Brecon, there was one patch of road it was only about 200 yards long where, if I missed my lift and had to walk back to Brecon, the hairs on my neck would stand up and I would start to shiver. Never had it before or since but every time I passed that spot walking i

  10. Fecking fannies, just rub some pile cream on them and carry on. Seriously though it contains Lidocain which is a local anaesthetic that stops the stinging in a couple of minutes. TC
  11. I watch the beginning of this DVD yesterday for the first time, the part about traditional netting. I must say I was pleasantly surprised some real good information on it for a first time netter. Obviously I did not agree with everything he done, but he would say the same about the way I net. He does state that you do find your own way that suits yourself, but to be honest if you followed his way to the letter you would catch rabbits no problem. There were only two major problem I had with his way of setting the net first one was the hight of the net then the speed that he wanted the rabbi
  12. Even New Zealand are getting in on the mind games with England. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34268642 TC
  13. So the "can you read Bob" was not meant as abuse? Me thinks people in glass houses should not throw stones. TC
  14. Is that the type of "shit load of abuse" you were talking about? TC
  15. Great day, and it's good to see a whippet bring back a rabbit alive. But, sorry to say Morton will be along later to tell you how crap whippets are. TC

    Dont Get It

I actually think the moaning is born out of frustration at not being able to do things as you used to? TC

  21. Johnny I am not knocking Bigger in any shape of form. He is a good goal kicker, and not too shabby out of hand either, but he will often turn down kicks that 1/2p would take on and get. I agree with you about Liam, to be honest I think he should be full back with 1/2p as wing instead of Cuthbert, in fact I would rather see Tiperic as wing rather than Cuthbert. Late news Eli Walker is also out with a pulled hamstring. FFS when is this going to end? Makes you wonder if all the pre world cup training is having an effect. Edited to add Ross Moriarty is in in his place. TC
  22. I am no boxing fan I stuck it out till 3/4 of the way though. It just sounded like a party political broadcast for the Tyson Fury camp to me. And he brought in every conceivable reason why his son would win, then backtracks and says if he does lose..Knocked it off then. TC
  23. Some of the leaves and the main trunk look like hazel to me. TC
  24. there is but your scrum half is your link man and game maker ... he dictates the speed and direction of the game ... halfpenny was the kicker the man that generally scores the most points in a game ... so although there are 15 players in a team there some that are missed more than others ....... Kicking stats last season was Halfpenny 76% success rate with Dan Biggar getting 86% imo Halfpenny will not be missed as much as a lot of fans seem to fear. If anything I reckon our squad will be stronger for losing 2 key players but to think our World Cup is over is a bit defeatist imo. 30 seco
