    Thats what a true dogmen would do mate, We know how much a good dog means to us. Thats why we do what we can when we find a dog running loose. I did exactly the same as you last year with a whippet x. Unfortunately the owner wasn't traced but the dog found a good permanent home.

    I don't know what line of whippet your running mate, but if any whippet of mine was straight lined by any rabbit i wouldn't give them kennel space mate.

    Nice one mate, Vixens injured at the minute so i stopped in today due to the wind and rain. Good to see it was worth while going out. That last photo is a belter You'll have to come up here for the weekend mate, it owuld be nice to see your dog in the flesh

    Mines kenneled with a labrador, i have a tube heater in the sleeping box inside the shed that is wired to t thermostat set at 10oC. I havn't had any problems with any whippets i've worked in cold weather, it's the same as owt mate if there used to the cold and working in it they will handle it.

    Cheers greg, I don't put the best pics up as i'm thinking of writing a book in the future and i'll be keeping them for that. Vixens laid up at the moment she ripped a toe nail off last weekend on the Lincolnshire Fens, It's getting better and hopefully she'll be ok to run in a couple of weeks. gutted mall hope she's sorted soon for you mate With the work i've been giving her injuries are always a risk mate as with any dog. I'm sure she'll be back in a couple of weeks. I took her to the top greyhound vet Paul Evans at Oldham and he's confident she'll be right in a fortnight or

    John i've never had much confidence in the deben battery chargers, i bought one offline that chargers the lead acid battery packs, it will charge 2,6,12,&24volt batteries and it has indicator lights on it to let you know when it's charged.Cost me about £15.00 delivered. You can also leave it charging all the time as it only trickle charges as and when it needs topping up.. I wouldn't want to be walking far with the 20amp battery pack mate, i've just bought a lithium 10amp and i don't know how i've managed without one before.     Nice one lofti, I liked the look of the bitch when i saw her run in the simulated coursing at the earthdog running dog show. It sounds like she runs like my whippet Vixen on the lamp, only running as fast as she needs to and cutting them off. It's not long before the penny drops it's just a matter of getting them out, as they say practice makes perfect..

    That's one fit looking whippet there Mally Beautiful dogs the whippets What's your feeding and fitness regime throughout the year like if you don't ind me asking? Rb I feed chudleys greyhound racer with raw lamb from TPMS, she gets 3-4 miles a day road work on the days/nights not out working, summer and winter alike with 1/2 hour free running. This time of year we are out a least 3 days a week ferreting and a couple of nights lamping. She's having a few weeks off at the moment as she tore her toe nail off on sunday morning

    Cheers mate, I'm more than happy with her. 411 rabbits on the lamp, not including the ones she's picked up ferreting.and 28 longears Plus a few of the larger ones by mistake and she's only 28 months old.

    My whippet bitch did her toe nail on sunday morning, it happens and it's shite when it does. You just have to live with it and sit in on the windy nights if you havn't another dog to run like me Thats why i'm taking a litter off her in the spring to keep a couple of pups back to bring on, at least i'll have another to run next season if one knocks itself up. I'm not into buying adult dogs to run whilst a dog is recovering it's not fair on the dog. plus what are you buying??? no one gets rid of a good dog at this time of year do they???
