I started shooting 50 years ago. 4 or 5 years ago I felt that I wasnt enjoying shooting anymore so just before christmas last year I gave my gun to my daughter. Still go beating with the terriers but no interest in pulling the trigger anymore.

  8. Tarr Steps has been damaged/washed away numerous times before. In august 1952 there was a cloudburst in which 5 inches of rain fell in 1 hour.This water flowed down the east and west Lyn rivers, destroying the town of Lynmouth. Water levels at Tarr Steps were reckoned to be 12 feet higher than normal. The clapper bridge at Tarr Steps has always been repaired/rebuilt in the past and no doubt will be again. I have driven through the ford there many times. Normally drive thro' without the water coming in the cab of my hilux.

Over the years I have tried most makes of welly, including 3 pairs of muckboots. These new nora wellies are certainly the best I have tried in years. I have only had them for 9 or 10 months but they are still going strong, never had cold feet whilst wearing them and they are pretty comfortable.
