  5. Been wet before and no doubt I shall be wet again!! As you say, it was nice to be out again. Apart from the shitty puppy who needs to learn some manners, the dogs all went well I thought. I suppose the excuse for Tanner is that she is not yet 5 months old and she will learn that she cant stay in a bush and eat the rabbit but until she does its bloody annoying!! Hope Bill likes his shepherds crown. Should be easy enough for him to find more, now he knows what to look for.
  6. I had borders for years although I now have russells. What I found was that borders are quite slow to start doing anything (workwise) They watch and seem to take in everything that is going on around them but they will only enter when they are good and ready. I did have one start bushing, ratting etc at 6 or 7 months but the majority of them were getting on for 12 months before they started doing a bit. They all got to be very good at what they did but just be prepared to wait until your pup decides she is ready. Dont try to force her into anything.

  10. And once you've drilled it into him do it again and again and again! Do it once a week for 6 weeks and you'll be fine mate. Good luck and all the best with him. Keep us posted eh? I'm keen to see how you get on! And then go and own up to the owner of the sheep and see if he wants some arsewipe and his ill trained dog walking through his fields
