  1. Cheers Daz, Excellent shot Thought you were gonna slott it when it looked directly at the scope. Thought it was gonna wind up looking like a tree rat of a certain religious persuasion  Tony
  2. Oiy Daz, Can't see the vid, it's saying it's private! Go change the settings for us buddy Tony
  3. That stock takes me back a bit there Joey Let me know how you get on with the forend stock when your out in the field wont you? I also have a proposition for you! I've been thinking about our last conversation. Tony
  4. Hey Nade, Nice work again, these look like they been shot with a .177 and not the .50 That 1st background made the image confusing didn't it? I see that you have the 'Primal Urge' kicking in pretty well now Addictive aint it? Tony
  5. The little bit of dieseling from the grease in the breach end of the barrel you describe is highly unlikely to cause any damage to the internals. My guess is that when you wiped the grease off the part with your finger is that a little grease transfered to either the transfer port on the action side or a little went into the grooves of the rifling. If it's the latter, then the grease is being heated up by the pellet as the friction causes the heat. The heat is probably not causing the grease to ignite as such so it will take a fair time to disperse all of what ramains. I'm having deiseling so
  6. Awsome as per usual Oh Dark Lord Stealthy Tony
  7. It's bad to ask someone to make up your mind, but its a bloody good idea to ask for peoples advice Best thing to do, is if you have an airgun club closeish by, pay them a visit. Air gunners are usually very friendly and will let you try out their guns, giving you both the pros and con's of each rifle. Much more infor than a gunshop will do to a newbie. Another bonus is that you will get to try many of both types and pehaps even find the one that fit's you best! And fit is very important to a shooter. especially if your long armed or short armed (tall, short or mr average). Overal
  8. Ebay? or even in the sales section on here or if you want brand spanking new www.airriflepump.com if the link fails try googling "Hills Pumps" Tony
  9. Hi Simon, I'm looking forward to seeing the full DVD as well Sadly I didn't get to see the long trailer, due to lousy bandwidth, crappy mobile inet coverage in this area and making it almost impossible to download the entire trailer. So I'm really keen to see it. Tony forgot to mention, after having seen a fair few documenteries such as "Fighting on the front line" etc recently, and seeing the reactions of the troops when they get gift's and parcels with basics such as deoderants, sweets etc... You've deffinately picked the best charity to do it for
  10. Unless its an FAC jobbie, then you would need a Fire Arms Certificate and the rifle would be registered to you. An old HW is unlikely to be FAC in this country. Tony
  11. Your friend is talking out of his rectum It's only since 2007 that RFD's now record numbers and name of the rifles FIRST owner (the person that buys it) and although the police can ask to see the RFD's Register, they would need a ruddy good reason to do so. Tony
  12. It's the foliage Andy, just had it full size again, it's laid in one of those fecking plants that cover a lot of my horse paddock. Tony
  13. Nice little haul there Your right about perm sizes, mine are not very big, especially the Goose Paddock (its about 20 yards wide and all of 40 long max) and it was very productive until I wiped most of them out. Now the LO says she only sees them now and again and only a couple at the most when she does see them. She's happy, I got anothe perm out of it and possibly another out of that as well Some people won't agree with the damage I did to the population, but it was an erradication job and I know there will be plenty again next year Tony
  14. Both have pro's and cons and it really is a personal thing. If you start off with a springer and learn to shoot it accurately, you are always ready to go and the power source is combined in the gun. With a PCP you also need to buy charging equipment as well. Tony
  15. Ahhhh..... Just looked at its eye full screen, on this thing laptop the image at thread size looks like a huge hole in its head hence my comment about the .50 I now see its a leaf stuck to it Tony
  16. Not a chance bud, 2nd eldest used to have a go now and again, but not in the last 20 years. Youngest of the girls had a go with a couple of pistols, so muggins here purchased a junior rifle (ASI Sniper .177 and a 30 shot mag) just to see if she'd take to it she's never even picked the thing up. Tony
  17. If my eyes are not deceiving me, it looks like you hit it with a .50cal! or a high velocity baseball bat. You are quite correct though, your 1st will remember it for the rest of your life. Tony
  18. Just wish ONE of mine would like to take up shooting, even if it's just plinking at the paper.
  19. Just been looking on the web for it, It does seem to suggest a muzzle break as its ventilated, is it a polymer / plastic type thing or is it metal? Tony
  20. Ratting is fast, scarry, fun and I miss it greatly Tony
  21. Simon, you lucky, lucky man! I'd ahve given an arm and a leg to do that! However I got to Burn my hand on the engine, when they flew a Bucc back home a good few years ago! (posing for a photo). They had to bring in a ships arrestor wire and lay it across the runway because they built a crap load of offices at the end of the runway! Amen to that! The GR1 was/is an awsome aircraft, but just couldn't match the presance of the Bucc
  22. :Sreaming with laughter: Nice Spit's bud How about some Buccaneers? (I live (ed) in Brough for 25+ years) Tony
  23. Hi guy's very nice numbers there and good images I'll check the video when it eventually finishes downloading (sh!tty mobile connections!) Two classic errors to the pix though guy's Chaz n Phil seem to have a fecking great tree growing out their noggins Again well done guy's Tony
