smk 19 air rifle

Despite all the warnings that your gonna get telling you to stay away from all the Chinese crap, I have one myself as do a few other members and once you can handle the thing's recoil, and hit the mark your sorted I've taken hundreds of bunnies with mine, I got lazy though when I got my S200 and now I'd need a fair bit of practice to get back to handling it again. The 1st time I took it out on a walkies with someone who invited me to his permission (before I got my own) he missed a target with his AA S400 and I hit the same target. Tony -
Great stuff Gary Nice to hear you scored It can knock you sideways when you miss a few or come back empty handed a few times on the trott. Only thing I've killed in a while was the mice that the moggies been bringing home and let run around the place! I'm off out again tomorrow evening and I intend not to blank like I have the last few times. Tony

Another excellent video Si, worth the 45 minutes it took to download! I'm still on a crappy mobile connection in a poor coverage area. Tony

Regarding Pellet Selection, I began using Air Arms Field's and so far a 10 shot group less than the size of a british 5pence coin at 30 yards is great with them, 2nd choice RWS Super Fields Similar result My third choice is FX pellets which produced a one hole group only 3mm larger than the AAF's. However the three listed above suit my rifle barrel, it may not suit yours as well as it does mine, But AAF's are always a good starting point in any gun. Tony Tony -
I was also looking at purchasing a Solo from an RFD (a friend of mine) he could get either the brand spanking new logo or a second hand S200 for me. I trawled through the net looking at reviews, then asked on the queston "Brand new Solo or second user S200?" I also asked a gent who used a Logun Solo throughout the filming of one of his own dvd's where he praised them. He told me that the Solo was good for the money but with his experiance he would have taken the second user S200 over the Brand new Solo. The consensus on this forum and a couple of others were the same. The solo is good for th

The General Licence are more a set of rules/guidelines, not a physical license on paper and they cost nothing Have a read through them, because you need a reason to shoot any living animal because they are actually protected by law (wildlife and countryside act), so you need a reason, for example rabbits! They destroy lawns, crops, dig holes where cattle may fall and break their legs. Wood pigeon, eat crops, seeds and cause damage. Ferral pigeon are usually found inside buildings barns etc, they are a health risk. Do you have some land to shoot over? Tony

GL's are General License's The GL's are what gives us permission to shoot our quarry. Heres a link to this years GL's http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/153030-general-licences/ Tony

Why are you wanting to replace the spring? Is it buggered? Just be aware that the outgoing spring will be under tension and can be dangerous I've never seen a spring gun that hasn't had it's spring under tension even when not cocked. Its even harder to put a new one in than it is taking it out. Tony

Welcome to the forum The Ultra is a very fine rifle, exceptional accuracy for such a small rifle. It is more than suitable for hunting in the UK Anything on the GL's will fall to it if you do your part Tony

You may find this usefull, save a copy onto your system or print it out. http://www.pyramydair.com/site/manuals/S200-manual.pdf Regarding filling: Attatch the quick fill adaptor. Screw the valve at the base of the pump in tight. Your dial on the BSA pump (same as mine) will NOT show any pressure, it will not show the pressure in the cylinder until the pressure in the pump pipe equals the same pressure in the cylinder. Begin pumping, it may take a while. The pressure guage will begin to rise fairly quickly and you will eventually hear a squeak that seems to come from the air cyli -

Cheapest camoflauge hide ?
Phantom replied to boroboyoli's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
As long as it's not from the seller that flogged me a 2x6 meter net it'll be good. The one I got had a 2x6 net, with only the odd triangle of camo! They got really upset when I gave em bad feedback saying the image showed only a small area of the net. I replied "Why show only 4 inches of a 2x6 meter net" Tony -

The price of these seem to have dropped again This time last year they took a hell of a hike up in price! Tony -
Chairgun Pro is actually pretty good (with the appropriate applet) at working out aim points with up hill down hill shooting. I've only just installed the BRC so gonna have to find my way around it. I agree with JD though, nothing beats being able to look at your quarry, decide instantly without having to think about it and pressing the trigger then watching your quarry roll over. I found I was better at doing this with my 30/30 crosshair than I am with a mildot. Now I think about dot's where as when I had my tv-screen 30/30 ret, I knew instinctively where the cross needed to be, p

Nothing personal, I just don't like being wrong (But Hey! Who does? ) Here's a link - http://en.wikipedia....attern_Material It's Material. Atb, Bunny. Try telling that to the Disruptive Pattern Marking Appreciation Society I thought it was material until I watched a documentary on Discovery or the History channel about how the markings came about during the 1st world war. Lets face it we didn't dress ships in Material, we gave them disruptive pattern markings using paint to break up their outline to help them blend in with the sea and sky, predators such as Pike have disrupt -

I have a HD one with Mildots, AO and illuminated ret. It's a bloody good scope withy only one tiny thing I dislike about it. The ret can be very bright and as such it seems to cause a circle of red/green (depends on which colour I choose) around the eyebell. I can't comment on the price as it was an xmas gift from a good friend of mine. A MAP reticle is Multi-Aim-Point it's similar to a mildot in use but it only has a couple of points above the croshair. Tony -
If I find one I'll let you know, although many of the ones I've been looking at are actuaally adjustable, some having two velcro straps with a solid bridge plate that goes against the scope. It may be useful, but I envision the camera sliding one way or the other as I am filming! Tony

Like Stealthy say's Natural is best (so is DPM oh thats Disruptive Pattern Markings by the way and not Material). Natural also has the advantage of being free if like me your a tightwad I've just aquired a little bit of land thats so close to a major road its unbelievable. Checking it out the other day and the only way I can shoot at the top end is by making a hide thats not only goingto conceal me from quarry but it has to hide me from the general public driving along the road. Natural will do very well and will change as the colours change througout the year. If I put anything up tha -
Hey Gary, Glad Si and I could be of service and it's a good hunter that can blame himself and not his kit! Like you said, even the most experianced shots can forget the basics at times Tony
