  1. Hi Nick, I should think that the woods are on perms afterall we wouldn't want to be breaking the laws of the land and giving the anti's any more ammo to use against us. Don't be tempted just to go anywhere that seems private and secluded, it's not worth the risk If you were to do so and got caught, at best there are serious penalties, fines, prison or both at worst, you could wind up with a 9mm being pulled out of you by the coroner! It's seriously bloody hard work gaining permission to shoot over ground took me an age as it does most people unless your either connected or have
  2. Nice work JD, Do you eat them? I have no treerats on any of my perms Actually I tell a lie! I saw one last year running through the cemetery, I was so shocked to see it, I think I forgot I had the rifle in my hands Never seen it since. Tony
  3.    Sorry bud, got an email from a mate of mine this morning. Funnily enough he was complaining that he's not had a stud in the butt since July Tony
  4. Yah have to think of shooting as having sex and your quarry as the woman your about to drill Small and fast just doesn't do it, Slow, hard and the extra girth wins everytime Although after my little session on the bunnies tonight, I'd need a Cruise missle to hit the spot
  5. I will NEVER give up my AA But if I win the lotto, I may buy a 100, just to finish off any wounded rabbit by clubing it to death or bang it against a tree to wake the tree rats up so I can pick em off with my baby
  6. I get your drift now Mike, The only two things I've done to my XS19 is Dampened the transfered noise from the action (bit of felt/foam/rubber between the metal and wood) and had a silencer put on the end. It's very accurate for such a cheap rifle, I just need to get some more range time with it again PCP's make one sooooo lazy you know Tony
  7. I'll have em Ryan, PM me your address Thanks Tony ps off out soon, be back by midnight
  8. Thanks Daz, Gonna try again this evening, need to be out before dark and back here by 10 at the latest. Thats gonna take some doing, BUT I me a plan of action......... The MK4 is my scope, a slight second from Leaupold (front objective has a slight blemish on the coating, but it only shows up if your shooting directly into the sun as it goes down. I'm after a scope shade for it to negate the flare from the defect during winter as I shoot a lot into the sun due to safety constraints). Great scope though 3.5 to 10mag, IR 50mm objective and side parallax adjustable with a 30mm tube. To
  9. Are we talking the KSC GP100 (bit like a Styer comp pistol) or the Ruger revolver type GP100? Tony
  10. I think you speed read Mike! Re-read slowly! Si didn't mention the XS19 I gave the lad my opinions on my own XS19 Tony
  11. I'm not biased, I think that Ulverstone Moocher's image is superb Clarity, colour even the shadows have detail in them and the look on those cows faces, especially the brown one! I can just see a caption bubble saying "Oooh look girls, I'm a model" lol Very well done on that one buddy Tony
  12. Ryan, Are you using rechargable batteries? I find that my rechargables don't seem to like the cold and although the light from the Ultrafire is still bright, it dropps of once the batts are cold. I'm going to invest in some better quality rechargables or maybe even just use the Energizer or Duracell disposables. Tony PS what batts does that unit take?
  13. Another excellent vid Si Thats some accuracy indeed Take care my friend Tony Ah pt2 on its way  Though it was my connection f'kin up again!
  14. Each as good as the other, the only two things that a .177 has over a .22 is price of pellets and a flatter trajectory If you can put the pellet where its needed then either cal will kill what you hit in your list. Tony
  15. Not at the moment Mike, I'm brassic and silly season is upon us now, I have a daughter who is expecting a state of the art laptop for xmas among other things! I'm supposed to be in Coventry this weekend for the comps, but I've got no chance Gotta be somewhere next month as well and still paying for a HW BlackStar that I've taken possession of Tony ps good condition? and whats the price?
  16. Many slate the Chinese guns However I have an XS19 on the wall above me now Its the gun that got me into hunting and I've found it to be very accurate when handled correctly and consistantly The trigger is a bit heavy and I'm still thinking of putting a Charlie Da Tuner GRT trigger into it to make it nice and sweet. But hey, for the money the XS19 is pretty fecking awsome piece of kit. It's a copy of a gamo hunter and one of the HW's (I forget which one though). Tony
  17. It's nice to hear of a good transaction after hearing so many horror stories about the scammers trying to make a quick buck Perhaps we could have a "Good deals thread" of some sort like another certain forum does? Ian How about it? Tony
  18. Arn't the 55 & 60's that Hatsan Arms manufacture sold over here as Egdar Brothers Model 55 (.177) and the Model 60 (.22) If so you'll be able to get either of them new for your 120. Tony
  19. Hi guy's Been a while since I last ventured out due to the weather. Wouldn't be a problem if I still had my Hog, but I'm stuck with a push-bike for the forseable future. I set of in the face of a strong wind and eventually got down the hill and over to my cemetery permission almost 2 hours later (usually takes me an hour to get back going up the hill!). As I walked through the gates I saw 2 give it legs to my right towards Bunnyland, one big old buck headed straight down the central walkway towards the Paddock and a nice looking doe dived down one of the entrances to the central wa
  20. And for Newbies, check EVERYTHING in the line of fire both in front of and behind your target to avoid expensive cockup's Tony
  21. Very nice work Ste, The video was nice and clear How have you fixed the camera to the scope? Tony ps Take the Caps Lock off please, it deafens my eyes
  22. Excellent presentation Si Will help our new shooters on the forum greatly Clear and easy to understand Tony
  23. Nice to hear someone admit that a Squizzer can extract the yellow liquid from an experianced shot Regarding the image though, a posed shot can be pretty hard to get right compositionally JD; especially when the bulk of the image is dark 'Earthy' colours with the contrast of the TreeRats bellies and the stock of the gun. I also like the way you have shot so the barrel and silencer are contrasted against the lighter limb of the tree. Nice shooting both with gun and camera. Tony
  24. Hey Ryan, Looking forward to your footage So are you going to start a new thread on "How I shot my camera" or you gonna slip it onto this one? Come on we're all dying to hear the full story Tony
