  1. His wife's dildo? Hiya Chris, Yes I have heard this before Like you say, they are extreamly inquisative little buggers as well as being highly intelligent birds. It's a technique I've often thought about trying but still not gotten round to it, but will do one day. The slit rabbit technique works, but it took a while as they were not used to seeing dead open bunnies in the Goose paddock, but got there in the end. Once they've seen or heard somthing that gets their interest they just NEED to investigate and find out what it is. The only thing you are not allowed to do to bring them i
  2. Did that DVD find i's way to yah?

  3. My order (if all goes well) will be with you this week Si Love to Lj for me. Tony
  4. Rats can indeed be skitish, and then there are the days/nights where they think their nuts are made of steel and will litterally run at you if not OVER you; my 1st night ratting on a pig farm saw a big fecker jump off a wall run over me and jump off the barrel of my S200! Then there are the times that I've shot em up the butt and out of their face and then the classic one that was running at me along a pen wall Gotta be my sweetest shot on a Rat Tony
  5. He put it in his gob; chewed and swallowed it you daft old g!t Well you did ask Tony
  6. Nice to know that true masters of our passion also have bad days Good news is, you didn't blank like my last 5 outings! Tony
  7. Damn it, hit the wrong button, I DONT like this post lol! Forgive him JD, for he knows not who you are Back before the advent of scopes for the masses, we used open or Iron sight's and we used to shoot at moving targets. The Primary KZ of quarry used to be the chest and the best kill was one that managed to take out the heart and lungs. Take any Deer hunter these day's, they dont go for head shot's as they require the head as a trophy. They generally use a heart/lung shot as do big game hunters, they then have to track the blood drops to find the kill. If you can hit a bunny in t
  8. This just shows that a well placed shot will do the job, regardless of Calibre. If you had cocked up the body shot though JD, say you hit it in the abdomen, it would have run a lot further, possibly surviving a good while until infection set in and it died because of that. Now with a .22 the same cocked up body shot would cause the death of the animal but probably quicker as the entry wound would have been larger, and traveling at a slower speed, it would have tranfered more Kinetic Shock to the nervous system of the animal. This is the reason that the .45 cal survived for such a l
  9. See I told Y'awl Davy was a top bloke
  10. Davy and Chaz are totally top blokes As indeed are many other members of this section Whilst I was at Davy's I got to learn his secret for shooting Maggies (to which I am TOTALLY sworn to secracy by the way) whilst his lovely wife made us both a lovely ham sarnie It's fantastic when we get together with other members. Hope to meet you in Nottingham next year Russ Tony
  11. Hi buddy, I've already told you its no bother! It's why I joined this forum to help others and learn from those more knowlageable than myself Okay; the sequence is Bolt, then the Handle, then the Washer then finally the Nut. There should be no spring on the bolt assembly other than the one that holds the BB in place and you should not be able to access that without taking the scope off and going in through the top of the block (if I remember correctly). PM me your address I'll send you some information that you will find useful Tony
  12. No such thing as a daft question Elliot (unless it's one you dont ask). In short; The higher the BC the more the more aerodynamic the projectile, the flatter the trajectory and the further it will fly. Tony.
  13. Hi Phil, Yeah your bang on with the factory, most of the 'branded' pellets do indeed come from the same factory I've not done any recent comparison, I've just been through my shooting gear looking for some rws Superfields, but none left now, still got some AA & FX ones left hoping to get a new batch of each in a week or so Tony
  14. Trying to get that recipe from Scuba is virtually impossible Si I' got a couple of tips on the mixing of the spices from him, but not the actual ingrediants!!! I will get it eventually, next time I'm gonna pinch a spoon full and take it to the University and have it analysed LOL Tony
  15. Hi Ryan, I have a green filter for my Ultrafire lamps. I've heard the green is useful win foggy conditions, but I'm tempted to try it out next time I'm in the cemy Thanks for that review and again thanks for our recent transaction Tony
  16. We have alread proven that FX and Air Arms Fields are not the same time and time again! I did this a few years ago when I first came across FX after a local RFD told me they were identicle. I put them down my S200 and they grouped about 3mm wider than the AAF's and the POI was an inch or so out both in Elevation and Windage. I stood them side by side with AAF's and photographed them and put the photo up on here somewhere showing the diferances. I've been and done a search to link back to it for you, but the search does not go that far back, so I'll draw your attention to the Ballistic Coeff
  17. The first two numbers 4-16 is the Zoom ratio ie 4times larger to 16 times larger in the view. The last number is the diameter of the front (Objective) lens. The larger the front lens the more light it gathers so the better/clearer/brighter the image is. More useful for low light/night shooting. Go for the larger lens Tony
  18. I remember when I started on a piece of virgin land, I just got laid up 30ish yards from the warrens, looking towards them. Could cover a fair few at a time. Funny the first day, dozens out, sat around munching the grass in little groups of three or more! Aim, breath, chlick phut Crack, over one went, other two just looked as if to say "Taking a nap there Fred?" again second one laid down others looked "You an all mertyle?" Had 7 before they got the message that something wasn't quite right with all the sleepy ones Set yourself up nice and comfortable and hit em sniper style til they g
  19. Sounds like the SMK/Westlake B2, I gave one away a year or so back. http://sportsmk.co.uk/item/27/ Tony
  20. Load of bullpucky!!!! The .177 is just as effective as .22 Assuming that you can put the pellet where it needed. Whoever said that obviously cant hit a barn door if he was sat on the latch! Tony
  21. I wonder why everyone lays blame on the pellets? I'm still using pellets that I've had for over a year now If you've not shot for a while, I'd put it down to the shooter before anything else. Why? Because I know that when I've been shooting both a springer and indeed a pcp that when I've left one or the other for a couple of months or more (especially with my springers) that it takes a bit to get that consistent hold again An example happened earlier this year! Last year I beat all in the comp organised by Davy, because I'd not shot since very early this year where did I place? W
  22. When did you last shoot it and what was the grouping like? Tony
