When ever you want Si, I've been struggling to get them now there is no cover at all My three months trial in the cemy is up in a few days, just about to email the guy at the church to see if they want me to carry on there. Again in the last couple of weeks, I've only seen a few and had less I'm hoping that they let me carry on so I can do some serious damage to the population in the spring early mornings If not then I'm going to ask about the GC Fingers crossed on that one eh Cuz it HUGE Phantom

Videoing today for the new Extreme Air Rifle Hunting DVD
Phantom replied to zini's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Wuzzy, It look a lot like the Quackenbush Outlaw, .458 Cal running at about 500 ft/lbs at the muzzle, still a close range shot though about 50ish yards. Even then according to one story, it took 2 lung shots to drop it I do hate hunting for the Trophy, I would have used a head shot even if I wanted the head to mount. Phantom -
Thanks guy's, sulk over Yeah, your right there Davy, 2nd bunny with em in as many months I had it skinned within and hour and a half of it getting the lead head ache. Think its looking a bit of a funny colour in the pic as I had to run it through an image editing program so that the detail of the eggs in the cyste could be seen (was a little washed out in the original pic) but it darkened the rest of it a bit. Cheers again fella's Phantom

Thanks guy's I got up at 06:00 and had a coffee, got some bread to go with the deeks and headed off to the paddock with the S200. Got to the gate and bunnies seemed to move from everywhere I looked problem was they all legged it down the nearest holes  I wandered over to the far side and set up my ambush Placed a single Maggie deek and the bread at exactly the zero distance of my gun and got myself ready for the sun to rise. Just as the sun rose, the corvids, gulls and ducks began flying over by the dozens Some of the crows and maggies circled the paddock, landin

I think this is about as close as you will get these days. http://www.xisicousa.com/xs-b3-1.html Looks sweet, but I dont know if they have been imported into the UK or not. Had a play with a friends Jackel in Coventry not long back, I wouldn't want to shoot one regularly though. All that clunking through the butt gave me ear ache! Phantom

I tried the Tesco one, thought it was great, until I got it out in the field  Like someone said, fantastic as a normal torch, in the street, garden etc... but as a gun lamp out there in the fields they are worse than crap!! As a gun lamp in a barn or something like that they are also great. OTM You show the Ultrafire 270 jobbie, I got the 300 and I DO use it out in the field  I got it on the recomendation of Spike25Blue (Rob) and I have not looked back. Using the rechargeable batteries (from ebay) they are great, however the batteries dont seem to like the ve

Well guy's and gal's I've decided that after the last few days of sh!te weather and really bad news thanks to some moronic fecking pen pusher with a God Complex in the DWP known as a :db: Decision Maker :db: who thinks he knows more about my health condition than an entire team of health professionals ranging from my GP and Consultants , I need to try and relax. So to relieve a little stress I am determined to get my ass out of bed about 06:00 and immediately make my way down to the paddock well before the Sun Rises and set up a Bunny and Corvid ambush position so that I can go on a mu

The only time mine ever faltered, was when I forgot to lock the bolt down after loading and cocking Let the shot go, heard an almighty BANG then felt the searing pain in my right thumb as the bolt flew back against my thumb  I won't make that mistake again Oh, mine was a .22 Phantom

Knowing Zini's posts and video footage it will be the extreme H B C Phantom -
1) A .22 running at that speed you would need an FAC (Fire Arms Certificate) as with an 16 grain pellet this would produce over 35 and a half ft/lbs wich is 23.5 ft/lbs over the legal limit 2) Power or Velocity ? 3) If you can accurately hit the brain, then yes. 4) It all comes down to personal preferance Both my hunters are .22 but I have also shot .177 and I also have a .177 rifle and all my pistols are in .177 Phantom

They seem to be decent rifle's A friend of mine in Rotherham is rebuilding one I'm glad to see someone actually using one still. Nice going Phantom

The S200 was originally developed for precision target work. Then (from what I gather) AA got involved and saw the potential of using it to hunt with, so they had them upped from 6ft/lbs to close on 12. I have a single shot version of the S200 and I love its accuracy, especially sniping over a warren If your after one, go get it Phantom

Cheers guy's Hmmm Zak, you got me thinking now, I've had pix and stories printed in other mags, I may just submit an article to airgunner, thanks for the idea! Phantom -
Hey there Stealthy, The wife would have my nuts in a vice or slit my throat if I started shooting Maggies in the house I suppose I should start doing them in the field as she dont like walking into the sight of me cleaning bunnies I was actually doing them in the cemy at one point til it started to get dark, I like to be able to check the liver and other organs for signs of illness and if they are all okay, they go for the pot (again much to my wife's disaproval ) Sibaldib: Yeah its a poncho, purchased it for a few quid at a local surplus store for a few quid. Been worth its we

Good job they breed like rabbits then aint it? I wants to bag me some diseased, filthy rats before you guys finish em off Phantom

Thanks Si, I like to snipe from an ambush; especially when there is no cover around. I cleared a warren in the cemetery doing it from ambush only to discover that it had been repopulated only a week later The only thing I don't like about that position is that I was litterally 10 feet from a major road and 4 feet of that is taken up by a padestrian foot path. Luckily there is a small embankment behind me so I am hidden from view of the passers-by, even more so with the hide Phantom

You guy's certainly know how to have fun bashing bunnies Well done to you all Phantom
