  1. So long Pete, I know what you mean about the time spent trawling through when you only mean to pop in a quick reply or post Best of look for the future buddy Phantom

  5. Cool Must try the bread on my verbal permission sometime; I can hide in my written permission behind some of the more ancient graves Let you know when I do it. One of the Shetland Ponies has a hell of a scare on its forehead near its eye from that Corvid attack that got me the verbal permission in the first place. Phantom
  6. Cheers gents, I never thought of it like that before Davy (Big Grin on my face!) Went back there yesterday evening after dark, the place was "ALIVE" with glowing eyes Made multiple (12 in all) shots and missed every one! How the ell you guy's make shots with a gun light I'll never know All shots fell short apart from one which was a very close (almost Ear Piercing) shot that made a bunny jump in the air. Its soooooooo weird actually seeing a bright dot travel towards its target at speed! Guess what? The fresh flowers on my wife's family graves had been devoured by
  7. Thanks for the replies guy's, I have a decent scope on my S200 (Bit heavy and old but its brill in low light) a Kassenar 3to9x56. I reckon it was just my range estimation as the pellet hit perfectly in the centre of the crosshairs just much further down than where I anticipated. I did as Stealthy suggested and at 6 mag pellet scuttled pellet, while being scuttled by another couple bang on the crosshair centre Changed to 9 mag and the impact point was bang on line, but pellets landed down the centre post by a quater of an inch or so. So even with that slight shift, my range finding was a
  8. BubbleDuck, Do you find that once you have nailed one the others come around to examine their fallen brethren? Watched a vid this evening and Steve Price shot one, another couple landed to see what was up with it and he hit them he then nailed another 4 all withing a few feet of the original Someone told me these birds are smart If I saw some of my mates lying dead on the deck, I'd be giving it legs not hanging around for the next shot Phantom
  9. Thanks gents, Was hoping to be out this evening with the gunlight fully charged for an after dark massacre Two things preventing me from it though One my grandaughter has been here over the weekend and she's ill now my glands in my kneck are up and I feel crap Two, its persistantly precipitating out there Phantom
  10. Nice shot buddy Why does everyone today seem to be shooting the squizzers Just to make me green with envy perhaps :11: Take care and enjoy a lunch and a half. Phantom
  11. Nice, Cajun Roast / Fried Squizzer Elvis Presley's favourite food as a youngster I'm hoping that there may be one or two in the orchard next to the cemy and one may run into the cemy for a rumage and a free instant weight gain supplement! Phantom
  12. Similar here buddy Bunnies are staying put now I'm averaging one an hour now instead of every 20-30 minutes. There are certainly fresh signs every day, so I'm looking at going after dark now Phantom
  13. Sweet going there Si I've never known one man gain so much land in such a short time. Well done with the land and with the kills Phantom
  14. Cheers guy's My new batteries and charger turned up yesterday So I'm looking forward to a few more bunnies now after dark, during the day I'm now averaging 1 every hour instead of one every 20 to 30 minutes Just gotta get me thermals out now TTFN Phantom
  15. Hey guy's Doll's and those of you that aint sure (you know who you are ) First let me appologise, as I left my phone at home so no pix this time Decided to get to the cemy before the brats left school The sun was shining, until I got there, and it began to rain Luckily it was only slight and I set up my snap ambush hide (as taught by Steve Price ) using my tent poles and my DPM Poncho I laid in wait for almost an hour awaiting my 1st victim. It was of course my favourite sniping position that gives me a good observation point around almost three quarters of the cemy. A
  16. I personally love Maggies They make awsome airgun targets I've yet to pop one, but my time will come Phantom
  17. Nice going Gentlemen And for a 1st write up, that was just fine I pictured myself in the scene with you guy's and I can't wait to take Si up on the offer I look forward to more and to meeting you I'm about to do a lil' write up of my exploits tonight Take care Phantom
  18. Your getting paranoid Dont worry about it, we all have one, but only you (and the Mods) can see yours. If it starts changing colour or filling up, then you've been naughty. Phantom
  19. I'm guessing its held in place by threadloc or something. You could try heating it with a hair dryer to break the seal. Phantom PS its only a suggestion!
  20. Is the S200 light? I must remember to take that fecking great lump of glass off and have a feel Seriously, yes it is a light weight rifle, I've carried it far and still taken standing head shots to good effect Phantom
  21. Comming along very nicely indeed Just remember on a live cottontail, the zone on the top is the ONLY place to aim Now its time to move out to 30 yards young Jedi Phantom
  22. Nice shooting with that video camera Si Not too bad with the BSA either :11: Phantom
  23. Thank you Gent's I'm still not pleased with that shot though Question for you that are more experianced than I at hunting: I know that the higher mag decreased perspective, but would it alter the POI by a noticable amount? I was out last night and not a single bunny seen in the cemy, but saw loads in the paddock with the nags. And the best thing, those fresh flowers that my wife put on the graves were still there fully intact I guess I must be doing something right. Phantom
  24. Nice going buddy Looking forward to the write ups and pix Phantom
