  2. I'd agree with Wuzzy on that, Having said that I'm still using the Kassnar scope on the S200 with a 30/30 ret. I want to put my mildot on it from the springer, but the mounts for that are low one-piece job and I wouldnt be able to get my pellets into the breach du to my big fingers! But, what I really really want is an SR6 or 12 ret. Very sweet. Till you get the price then it turns sour! Phantom
  3. Excellent read and shooting as always my good man. Phantom
  4. I finally got out this evening :clapper: Only saw about 30 of the furry feckers, happily munching and sitting until I tried to get within range and then it was "Come on bunnies, lets take the P!ss and hop off!" :wallbash: I've decided I dont like shooting in the cold white stuff Only got a good chance at one of them and just as I'd lined up the crosshair, it was "Bip, Bip, BeeBoo" Don't know who was more suprised me or the cotton tail that RiffRaff just warned was about to get a severe headache. :wallbash: Please remind me to put my phone on SILENT when I go hunting
  5. And just what is wrong with the XS19 in .22? Aint sod all wrong with it in .22 I highly recomend it in .22 but then I may be a little biased seeing as mine is a .22 cal bunny killing machine (and the odd mouse chucked in for good measure) PCPlod, when Joey (Wuzzy) said about not taking Davy's advice he wasn't talking to you buddy, he was talking to a particular troll that Davy told to take a long walk off a short pier (in a round about way, that we'll not go into again). Phantom
  6. Had to stay in, in the end My daughter was poorly. So I'll leave her with the wife when she gets home and I'm off hunting. Seems like every time I try and do some thing that I want to do, something crops up and stops me. :shout: I WILL get out today (even if its for only an hour ) Phantom
  7. Are you hoping that the silencer will improve accuracy? Phantom
  8. You are correct There has been a fresh covering of the cold white stuff this evening. I am undecided as to wheather to go out now before the hang over kicks in orwait a few hours. Phantom
  9. Cheers for the tip buddy I'm gonna have to do a little research as to the foot-prints aint I? Perhaps its a Mutant Bunny? (lets face it I've had some weirdo bunnies over my short hunting life) I did not know that Hares lived above ground (guess that my 'learn summat new every day thing for today') Phantom
  10. You mean a "More than Capable Gun" Like the man says, at that kinda price he just could not pass it up. I was fondling one the other day. I'za gonna have to get me one (one day) Phantom
  11. You sure do and it aint mine is it Mr T? Phantom
  12. ummmmmmmmmm here I sit at 02:30 with what is fast becomming a very severe hang-over Think I need to puke and get to sleep! (like either is gonna happen ) Not sure if I'm gonna get up for 6:00 to go shooting, but I'll try. Phantom
  13. Hey guy's and gal's, At about 10:30 ish today I went up to my permission to give the horse owner a number of frozen cleaned and skinned bunnies (his brother likes em!) When I arrived at the paddock there was no sign of him, so I hung around for 45 minutes as he told me he would be there for 10:30 to 11:00 There were no signs that anyone had been there but there sure was a crisp clean layer of snow from last nights fall. I noticed there were obvious signs of bunny tracks but then I saw (much to my delight) paw prints from the Fox thats been around, they were reletively small and
  14. I'm hoping to do same sometime after midnight and before 06:00 Although its currently a blizzard out there Phantom
  15. Air Arms Field Diablo's are a very very good all rounder Great for bunnies and rats. I put one through the back of a mouse at 30 feet (10 yards approx) and it looked like the mouse had a breezeblock pushed through it. Instant death. oh and that was with an SMK (19 not the qb). Phantom
  16. How much with a 16 grain piece of lead inside that red bit? Nice one, I wish I knew some keepers, so I could offer my services as a beater etc.. Phantom
  17. I DID get up Went for a slash and then went back to bed The hang over wouldn't let me go shooting Still hurts now, but off to take some bunnies down there at 10:30 for the owner. Pointless me going shooting while he's there excercising the nags as his kids etc will be with him. So will go down this afternoon and bag me some more bunnies. Phantom
  18. I didn't say they were too heavy, I said they were a little on the weighty side. I could carry one around all day Phantom
  19. Thats me out the game then, Im skint Phantom
  20. A few ounces maybe Dunno really, one is made by Air Arms. Both are exceptionally good springers really I wouldn't like to choose to personally. Sod it, save up and buy em both (I would if I had the chance) Phantom
  21. Sod the snow, Get out and batter them bunnies.... Now theres a thought, battered bunnies, deep fried ummmm........ Im off out in the white stuff either later tonight or early in the morning. Phantom
  22. However, (although I wouldn't put one on a springer) There are those who do and they learn to shoot consistantly with one I however would say instead of a bipod, fill a bag/sock or what ever with sand and rest it on that when shooting prone. Having said that I have only ever shot a springer from standing, no sorry I tell a lie, I did shoot one from kneeling once. Phantom
  23. The TX200 is a lovely gun I was fondling one yesterday although the owner claims its funning well into the FAC catagory. More fool him when he's up in court. I shot one a year or so back and although it was heavy; it was as sweet as a nice lubed up part of the female anatomy I like em, but like I said a lil' on the weighty side Phantom
