Most of the Police are decent and those in Rural areas are usually knowlegable as well and ask the correct questions before they get grumpy. IE "Is this your land?" or "Do you have permission to shoot on here?" Sadly there are a few people both in the force and in the AG community that have an attitude problem. The stereo typical one's such as "I'm f**king legal pig, you can't touch me" brigade and then the other side of the coin is "I'm the law around here you little bag of scum therefore I know more than you do" Put the two of these together and it flares up big time. You did well

Well ladies and gentlemen, I decided that today I just had to go and scratch my itch So I pumped my baby up to 180, got my portable backstop and a zero target into my pack, made sure I had pellets im my pouch, slung on my dpm on and headed off to the paddock. Got there at 14:00 to find no nags (owner must have stabled them due to the recent weather) just a field full of big black; beaked monsters strutting their stuff like they owned the place. As I arrived at the gate there was a loud 'CAW, Caw" and with that the paddock turned green again and the sky turned black as they took to th

Guy's Gal's and everyone else thats not sure of what they are.... What a lot of people dont know is that most of the crap happens by PM and not on the forum Recently we have had a great deal of the good regular posters leave THL simply because they have gotten fed up with the jerkoffskies. The forum on a whole is a good place to be and people will generally try to help out others as best they can, sometimes people may take offence at something that was not actually intended as offensive. Then there are a few people who just set out to cause as much grief for as many people as the

I'd agree with that. I really don't think of it as a sport, like fishing, I find it relaxing and sometimes darn right infuriating. Trying to out-wit nature, getting the better of somethings superior senses and instincts is what its all about But sport, nah, a fecking great pastime yeah Phantom

Nice idea, I don't do religion, but I'll take part just for the comp and like you say, faces to names. That is assuming I have the brass and means to get there

You want close Aaron? Walking upto my permission there are ALWAYS bunnies sat at the side of the road on the embankment side. I could (if I was quick enough) reach over to my side and grab them. They seem to know they are safe on that side The very closest I got to quarry was one morning in long grass at the side of a field, I nearly stood on a kit. I felt it hit my foot as my foot went down and it bolted. Gave me the fecking fright of my life I was lucky I managed to bag one later, which was suprising as my heart was thumping still and I could have sworn they could hear it bang

:clapper: Nice one buddy. The hare's round here dont seem to be bothered by noise either, I was out for a walk last year when I saw my 1st 'up-close' one (often seen em in the distance from cars, trains etc). It didnt seem bothered by the ambient noise (farmer in harvester, traffic on road etc). Then it amazed me by comming closer to me, litterally a few meters . I have since learnt that although they have great vision when looking out for predators, they have very limited forward facing vision. I dont think I will see any on my permission though Phantom

Phantom replied to air gunner's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Ask the shop what the pellet is and get them to give you a list of the speeds (usually either a 5 or 10 shot string). Once you have that pellet and its speed, that will give you the ft/lbs. Then all you need to do is enter the data into chairgun pro (pellet and ft/lbs) and save it. Then when you enter another pellets data, the ft/lbs velocity, etc will be calculated automatically for that pellet using the algorithams written into C-G-P. It will also calculate and show the tragectory and aim points for what ever reticle you happen to be using. DL it and have a play, you'll soon ge -

Go to the Hawk optic site and grab a free copy of Chairgun Pro. That way you can see a trajectory graph of any and all pellets on the market. Its so accurate as well. that way you dont have to spend a fortune on pellets. choose the one that looks the best and then buy them and test them in your rifle barrel to give the best results. Forgot to mention, Some of his targets he keeps off the free site as they are a li'l 'controversial' (to say the least ) However his 3D targets are awsome Phantom
