  1. Sweet shooting I went into Hull today to meet RiffRaff for a coffee and a natter. Walking down the side of the station there was a Collard Dove sat on the fence. I walked right past it and it turned on the fence post and brushed my head with its tail feathers. If I'd not had my hands in my pockets I could have twatted it with a back hander and had it for tea! Its mate on the next post wasn't so impressed by my proximaty and took off before I got within 5 feet. Why cant they be this placid when I have my gun in my hands? Phantom
  2. Is that what they call her these days Enjoy yourselves Davy and pass on a Big Happy Birthday to your daughter from me Phantom
  3. PMSL lads Walnut Whip indeed! Nice shot Gary Phantom
  4. Right then, No belly open at the weekend then (assuming weather permits) there will be a bunny boppin session on Saturday and a corvid capping session on Sunday Phantom
  5. If your an old fart, whats that make Davy? . . . More to the point whats it make me? Phantom

  7. PM me your email Si' I'll send it to you Phantom
  8. Hey Si, I split that big bugger a couple of weeks ago for them. Its still there now (had a walk this aft) Not a sign of it being pecked by the corvids I'm suprised Mr Charlie aint snaffled it unless he got splatted on the A63 Phantom
  9. Davy beat me to it again I'm sure he must have that lot in a text file and copy and paste's it each time the questions asked Phantom
  10. Can't argue with that Apart from clarifying that its the .22 that has a more pronounced trajectory The .177 has a flatter trajectory. But as to what can be killed with it is 'All legal airgun quarry'. Its not so much about power or kinetic energy transfer (as long as were not talking silly low power), its more to do with putting the pellet into the kill zone. Once you've mastered that, your ready to shoot live quarry - Hence so much time on the range is needed to make sure you can do it. Phantom
  11. Hi Si, What diid you mean to that last part? Are you mentioning the pellet trajectory or something? I have used hay bails and other elevated bits of farm area to get in a bit of an elevated suprise area and like the others said, if the warren is a busy one your onto a winner and its good fun! Jack Yes Jack When your zero is set from standing, kneeling etc at a target thats almost level, when you aim upwards ie: a squizzer in a tree you need to compensate for the POI shift. Same thing when aiming down hill your POI shifts slightly Phantom
  12. Thanks Jasper, Food for thought indeed Phantom
  13. Heard of it before, but never given it much thought My scope has an adjustable objective but never needed to alter it. If I miss I miss, if I hit it (more often than not) then its dead Phantom
  14. I'd agree Stealthy; although many others won't. I tend to bopp em as they show up because I'm impatient (says the man who laid up for 4 and half hours in the freezing weather ) Phantom PS: cant believe I missed this post last month!!
  15. From what I remember they are lead (but I could be corrected on that) They are like a wad cutter with a Polymer spike that sticks out the front. I believe the polymer tip is designed to penetrate bone and the lead (if what I have read is correct) spreads. The .22's are 16 grain so I am tempted to give them a try on paper to see what the grouping is like http://www.predatorpellets.com/Home_Page.html Phantom
  16. Put my vote in with a Then started my other browser and did it again Phantom
  17. My silencer on my S200 was made by a guy called UKNeil on bbs. It uses metal spacers and baffles and is far superior than the original AA silencer that came with the rifle. Riff and I tested it at the range before we bashed some bunnies. I've thought of putting either wire wool or scourer inside it because as Si said, the fibrous material dissipates the crack of the blast of air. Phantom
  18. Typical fecking morons Put it up on tinypic.com They have video and photo hosting Phantom PS its probably some fooking anti thats trawling this board looking for ammo to use against us. Makes ya wanna rip their heads off and sh!it down their throat dont it
  19. Hey Niel, I still cant get my AA silencer open Fancy doing it for me? Phantom
  20. Send them back and tell the shop "They are unsuitable for the purpose" that you bought them for If they refuse to exchange or replace them; then they are breaking the law and you then contact Trading Standards. It may not be the fault of the shop, but your contract is (in the eyes of the UK law) with the person/shop that you paid for them. The shop will (probably) be happy to exchange or refund them for you. I use AAF's most of the time and as with any other manufacturers I've tried there have been the odd one or two (maybe more) that have been damaged. But a full tin? I would de
  21. Oy tw@t noticed you didn't ask me to fire it for yah while you stood downrange dont yah trust me No, neither would I really (it would be just yay toooo tempting) Obviously as you aint got a hole in your forehead, it wasn't Rodders either Si, Its a bit awkward trying to get the difference in sound across on video Have a look on you tube for silencer reviews there's a guy there who tried to do it. I didn't notice any difference in his comparisons Phantom
  22. If only I had the brass. anyhows, you been boppin lately? out 4.5 hours yesterday only got fecking chillblains! Phantom
