  1. Here you go Sir Davy RiffRaff's original thread. http://www.thehuntin...pic=141326&st=0 Phantom
  2. :icon_redface: Looks like I do have my uses after all. Glad to have been able to help. Let us know if it sorts the problem out for you. Phantom
  3. Your filling it up close to the max, I find that the Sweet spot in the power curve for my S200 is about 175. So I usually fill to 180 then let off a few shots. If I fill above that, the gun seems to be very 'under-powered' and inconsistent. Is that why you think its got a leak by any chance? Reason I ask is because I though the same for a while then I found that once it was at about 175 the power seemed to raise dramatically and shot to shot consistancy was very good giving me 30 to 40 shots before I had to start filling again Phantom
  4. Just after my buddy RiffRaff posted a thread on modding Silencers on here I arranged to meet up with him for a decent cup of Java (sadly he was driving so it couldn't be a decent Lager) When I got the S200 it had an Air Arms silencer on the muzzle and it was very good (well I thought it was compared to the noise when pulling the trigger without a silencer on!). Eventually Niel got his mits on a UNF adaptor for me and when we were out at the range one day, we tried the Custom built silencer that I had on my Beast springer. When I pulled the trigger of the S200, it was clearly way way qu
  5. Yeah, they are viscious. I've not shot the Barret but I would just love to give it a go Your right, its a 5 shot. Amazing for long distance Sniping Phantom
  6. I reckon it would gut, skin and tenderise them bunnies in one pull of the trigger. Not only that, say you had a field with a couple of dozen cotten tails, you would bound to take out the ones stood behind your target and the shock wave from the round would take the ones out at the side too Phantom
  7. Mine looses air consistantly each time I pull the trigger Phantom (sorry, lust trying to amuse myself, small things small minds day perhaps  )
  8. Just thinking he'll be too jetlagged to get his guns and put us all to shame today wont he? But then thinking about it, he'll probably use his guns to ward off the jet lag and still put us all to shame I am of course talking about the Mighty Mr Davy63 Welcome home buddy hope you all had a good time Phantom
  9. Or........ If I was by myself, then I would ......... Go for the one with the biggest killzone. Go for the one that is closest to my Primary or secondary Zero. Go for the one with a long distance or good backstop (embankment/tree/fencepost) behind it. But always the safest shot Phantom
  10. The one next to the one you have your crosshair on of course Three, Two, Click, phut, whizzz TWACK's Both dead. Easy when you know how Phantom

  14. Hi Bud, Its a right pain in the butt when you put in the effort and it yeilds sod all The question is now, how many people took a Biz Card or leaflet or letter off you? It took me nearly a year for my 1st verbal land. And then I was reluctant to shoot it as it was only verbal. I got my 1st written permission (the Cemetery) MONTHS after I gave them my details. I'd completely given up on that one, when totally out of the blue I got an email from the church council asking to meet with me After a phone call to arrange to meet someone at the cemy, I had the signed permission docume
  15. Must admit, I'm not too keen on it myself, although I have used them in the past. Still have some left, but don't intend to use them unless I am specifically asked to do so by the land owners (and I know full well that the Church won't ask me to use them so they will stay in the bag at the back of the shed). The guy who has the paddock has said I can use them if I deem it nessacerry, but I don't. I can take more with my guns and I know its lights out instantly with a chunk o lead Phantom
  16. Yeah me too Good to have you back buddy Phantom
  17. If I remember correctly, you don't need to be supervised on private land if you are 14 or over But for the time being if you fancy snaffling a bunny for your tea, get some wire snares out Phantom
  18. Bill, I replied to the PM you sent, did you get the reply Reason I ask is that after it said "message sent" I got "Message deleted" If not, I won't type it all out again it'll probably bore yah to death, but I will say a very BIG Thank You it did exactly what you intended Phantom
  19. Hey LG, didn't get to review the JD vids this aft But in the book "Air Rifle Hunting" by John Darling, Section two (Ammunition) page 26 he says the following: "Much depends on your own outfit, but for all my shooting I use the flat-head diabolo design. This is very accurate in flight and when it hits home it transfers all its remaining energy into brutalising the target zone. It kills cleanly" Phantom
  20. Superb piece of kit Not sure on price though Phantom
  21. Welcome Rob Davy, leave the lad alone with all your questions; let him settle in first Jeez he fecks off to New York and we still cant' get no peace from the man  No insult intended Davy ya know we love ya Phantom
  22. I think in theory it is a very good idea In PRACTICE however, it all come unstuck BIG TIME There are an estimated four million airguns in the UK most of which are 'untraceable' hundreds of thousands of them don't even have a serial number on them. We've all bought second hand guns before, and we have no idea of the guns history, who got it, who used it, was it stolen at some point etc before we got it? According to Humberside Police, an airgun licensing system would be unworkable. Remeber Handguns had a 'workable and enforceable' licensing system, but idiots still got th
  23. I'll dig his vids and books out and quote what he says about them, I can't remember exactly what it was, but it stuck in my noggin that he used them for something. Before that I was with the mainstream in saying they were for paper punching at close range! Wife goes out his aft, so I can put my "Sicko DVD's" on Phantom
  24. No Buddy, its probably me that missed or missunderstood something I've not had a good week and things are getting to me a lot more than they should. Damn this fecking illness I soooo know what you mean there Si Phantom
