  2. And dont forget to buy her a camera for her trophy shots Phantom
  3. Thats the way they are designed to work but if part of the skirt is damaged, by say having a nick taken off it, then although the skirt should still be blown out to hug the barrel, it would in theory push the nose off axis/centreline and as it left the barrel it would then be off aim. Don't want to get into a physics degree course here, but thats the basics as I can put them easily down. Phantom
  4. Yeah your quite correct there However what I meant to say by what I typed; was if the mag is not indexing correctly, then the pellet may (as it is pushed into the breech by the bolt) have a tiny amount of shaving of part of the pellet, or as Matty says, the skirt may be deformed slightly as it leaves the mag. 5. Gary, I take it the by the tone of your post, that the shots on the outside of the ring are yours? " Stick the next one at 30 yards and be really miffed when she beats you again at that range to the girl Phantom
  6. I think that the general consensus on a multishot magazine is that there is the tiny possibility that the magazine may not index with absolute precision 100 percent of the time. Having said that, we are talking a thou of a milimeter or so maybe even less? I really dont think that it will make much difference to the POI as regards the POA. Lets face it, you can not load a pellet with your finger with the exact precision that you loaded the last one (if you see what I mean? ) Phantom
  7. Hey John, Good to hear from you again If you watch the video again, you will find that the Paradigm is ENTIRELY "British Made" Remember I said a few months ago there had been and were still "serious" changes being made by the top man at Webley? Well this is one of them Webley are comming back with a vengance Lee: Its part of the VENOM range of guns, yeah they are closer the £600 mark so out of my league for the forseeable future Shay: I have not shot the new SSP rifle, the one I was privaleged to be one of the 1st to shoot was the Carbine that you can see in my avatar pi
  8. Sorry bud, I aint got a clue Phantom But the good news is, Im finally starting to feel p!ssed after 7 cans Phantom
  9. Hi Shay, I got to play with the Venom Viper a few months ago at the UBC International in Coventry (where my avatar pic was taken. The gun is a brand new prototype that came out of the Webley factory the night before the meet. I was one of the 1st people in the world to shoot this baby ) I played with a few of the Venom range (Viper, Sidewinder etc) and boy did I enjoy them. One comment by a bloke that had taken a few shots at a target was "There's always one!" as I dropped the target with my 1st shot with the Venom Viper Brian from Webley is a cool dude We also got to put the Alecto
  10. Hey guy's and dolls; Webley are doing a new SSP Rifle, running pretty close to the 12ft/lbs Yep an SSP (Single Stroke Pnuematic) If the new rifle is as good as the rest of the turnaround in the Webley company, this will be fecking brilliant Phantom

  14. Tommy, Don't let people upset you buddy, You came on here with a perfectly valid question, most people on here will try to help, some people will try to belittle a new member and some people just won't engage the brain cells (well most people have more than one!) before they engage typing fingers (yeah bit like opening gob before engaging brain!). Phantom
  15. I once purchased a rifle (many years ago mind you). I got it as 'for spares or repair' and it was rather cheap Once I got it, it had a spring inside it however it was well and truley screwed! The spring was totally knackered. The previous owner (apparently) had tried to increase its power by stretching it!! He is known to me and my friends as "Mr Dim FuckWit" This lead to the power output falling dramatically! The rifle was supposed to have a power output of approx 10ft/lbs but when tested it was just over 3 ft/lbs! So sorry Jack, it may have one fitted, but it may indeed, need
  16. I was not aware that the Gat was a Precharged job Phantom
  17. Thanks guy's for the replies I did get up Davy but it was after 09:00 But after not sleeping since getting up last saturday morning til midnight last night, my body told me to 'stay asleep'. The Zopiclone I got from the Doc's made sure I got to sleep before I started hallucinating So got back to the paddock again at about 14:30 today nothing in sight. Set up the hide and gun, stuck the bunny back out Put up the Crow Deek and one Maggie Deek then put another Maggie Deek in the tree just above my hide. About 15:30 I looked around the field and nearly had a fit. A large Black mas
  18. Hey guy's just a quickie this time. I bopped a big fat mother of a buck the other day on my paddock permission. Decided I was gonna leave it there, out of the reach of the foxes and slit his belly to use it for Corvid Bait. Had to chase up the doctors this morning for some more meds' then popped around to a mates for a couple of litres of fresh coffee and a natter. Got home had me lunch and deided to go out and try for the Big Black B@stards in the paddock. Got there, checked Zero, honed it by 2 clicks and pellet scuttling pellet at 30 yards or so Collected Uncle Buck from where I
  19. Yes you are correct the reason for them being on the GL's is they are a member of the Corvid Family as indeed are the Magpies and they do like to snaffle the song bird eggs. All the best Phantom

  22. Nice going there See yah stopped a few of the squizzers laughing like demented ducks Are there a lot of Jays over your way on?
