  2. Thanks Ron & Stealthy, I had to make that one short Stealthy I'd already lost the "Full" version as the compy hung Tris, There is an airgun scope on the market at the moment that has a built in LASER They call it the Laserking I think, as you said its a bit gimicky Phantom
  3. :clapper: SPA Superb shooting Si and Wurz, no strike that! AWESOME Shooting! I wasn't expecting to see that bunny come back down to Earth any time soon the way it launched skywards. Thought it was gonna be the 1st British Bunny Satalite Phantom
  4. And another I had a very slow night in the Cemy last night, come to think of it it was dead quiet actually, Saw two bunnies in the new section munching on flowers lil b@stards. They saw me at the same time I saw them and they legged it I was there from before 8pm and apart from them saw nowt til my mate turned up at gone midnight, went for a wander in the paddock and slotted two in the noggin at 35 yards That was it, no pix as it was dark and phone was home! Well done the pair of you especially Gary for out boppin while in severe pain Thats what yah call hardcore Phantom

  6. Its the earlier SMK's that were crap. The Chinese manufacturers now have better quality controls and are hoping to become the new Japanese. Remember the old Jap Crap, well thats what the earlier Chinese were. Now the Jap Crap is probably the best in the world when it comes to manufacturing. The Chinese are following suit The American airgunning population are going mad about with the Westlakes (SMK's but under a US Importer). They can be tuned to perfection but they are from the same factory machines. Thanks to Degsy (Lost Scouse) I have have just aquired the Westlake B2 tha
  7. That sounds Sooooo wrong Bill I'm getting more an more nervous and less and less excited Phantom
  8. Yeah the SMK QB is a copy of the Crosman. Used one on the range and dropped knockdowns out to 40+ yards. Not too good if the ambient temperature is low as this will reduce power output and likewise if temps are scorchers they have been known to go over. Th only thing I don't like about the QB's is the cost of the Co2. You use 2 bulbs at a time. I would suggest you look at something like the SMK XS19, dirt cheap springer if you want a cheapie I love mine and its nice to handle, and deadly accurate. Its a copy of the Gamo Hunter. And of course no Co2 to buy I must admit, I'm
  9. Since when have they been on the GL list Gary On form as usual Phantom
  10. Thanks Sym, They are deffinately worth the brass I don't use it to range every shot though, I'm using it more to give me better indications and teach me better rangefinding over different terrain and of course the inclined shots. I would have deffinately missed my meal if I'd not had it! Phantom
  11. Hi Tris, No the LRF is a seperate unit, looks a bit like a hand held video camera. You click the power on, point it at your target getting it in the crosshairs and press the button again, shoots out the laser and tells you to the yard (they reckon + or - 1 yard, but so far its been spot on) the range in the viewfinder. So far its been worth it weight in gold to me The device under the silencer is my Ultrafire 300 lamp, its now sat on top of my scope, just trying to find the best place for it. Phantom
  12. Its just: T - Minus SIX Days and Counting and I'm getting MORE excited Phantom
  13. Hey Stubby Moving backwards and forwards is a bit of a pain in the ass aint it? Not so bad on Roosters in the tunnels or other confind spaces and buildings but you just reminded me of a post earlier regarding lasers and scopes. If you can set them up right (above your scope) the dot will be bang on the cross at your chosen Zero, if its higher than the cross its closer if its lower then its further away as Stubby says above If you measure out the distances you can memorise where on the post certain distances are and make the hold over or under compensation. It helps greatly with a m
  14. Thanks Bill I'll take it more for the pain and punishment of the thorns rather than the shot though :11: Phantom
  15. Hi Bill, If your willing to buy new (bit pricey) then here you go http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24577&cat=HW98 If I had one I'd be like Stealthy and let you have it for nowt. I've seen them come up on eBay as well, but not often. May be worth a try. Phantom
  16. Range finding in the fields is as you say a right pain in the butt If your static over a warren it pays to measure it out in paces or measure a piece of string and use that from the warren to where you will lay up I got the hang of it after a long time, but then started making mistakes after I'd not been out for a week or so Suppose its like body building, you loose it if you don't use it. You can count fence posts or even work it out using mildots but I've just invested in a Laser range finder and already its having benefits I spent last night, guessing ranges and then ve
  17. Hey up guy's, Was suffering a bit of cold turkey yesterday, so decided as soon as the wind drops I was off out Got to the paddock and there were dozens of fluffy cotton tails awaiting assassination, however this was not what I was hear for today! Bunnies possibly later, but not in here, not now. The reason for my restraint was easy; I'd taken the gun on the off chance a bunny presented itself in the cemetery but my main mission this evening was to play with my LRF and see if my guestimates were correct. The idea was to close my peepers and move my head around and when I opened th

  21. The Tasco! Bigger Objective lense allows more light through so better sight picture in low light and the dark. If its the Tasco one I think it is, loads of guys on here use them and no one has a bad word to say about them Phantom
  22. Three weeks isn't too much really (well it is but how many BSA's get sent back for service or repair) My view of the problem leaves me to suspect as Craig says, a seal or perhaps a sticky valve thats not opening fully when the hammer hits it. RiffRaff sent his gun (AA Shamal) in for a repair/servicing and when he got it back a couple of years later it still hadn't been done In fact it hadn't even left the shop to go back to AA! Phantom
  23. Hi there Chris, You both sound pretty young to me, Ah just checked your profile 15!
