  3. Looking good there Davy Did a fair bit of metal knockdowns myself this evening before the sodding rain hit 10 mm KZ's from 8 yards out to 35 yards, then I just new the ones at the back of the range were going to go down Phantom
  4. Its more to do with current than voltage Vary the current with a resistor and you can vary the amount of light from the led Phantom
  5. Once they are on, you can increase the voltage until it gets very bright and hot then they either melt or as they often did just crack open and fail. One of our favourite tricks was to stick a 12 volt capacitor 100uf into the 240V rails. They sound like a shotgun and it snows but a bit whiffy though, sorta like fish Phantom
  6. Your spoiled your are :11: I was crapping myself about it. Been tracking it across the globe and it spent 2 days in UK customs awaiting Charging! Thought they were gonna hammer me for import duty and VAT It arrived today marked as a gift with a value of $14 slapped on it, so I didn't get charged a penny PHEW! Phantom
  7. Finally I get to read this post! Superb shooting Si as always and of course great footage as well SP from me too Phantom
  8. Nice shooting as always buddy Especially the one on the woody My LRF arrived today Hoping to go out with Riff tomorrow and give it a good work out Phantom
  9. Nope, you can actually dim them Used to do it when I worked in Hull ITeC back in the 's Phantom
  10. Thats what I mean't to say :icon_redface: :icon_redface: It was a full word typo honest Phantom
  11. TEN MINUTES  Sorry buddy but that is seriously shit shooting You could be in court for putting that up, what was it the guy and his lad got prosecuted for when the woody didn't die and he didnt finish it off immediately? Causing unnesacerry suffering How can the rest of you guy's congratulate someone on a shot like that RESPECT the fecking quarry, do your best to ensure a clean kill if you can't do that, then get back to the paper punching until you can I know we all have woundings now and again but we strive for the best and 99.999 percent of us would fin
  12. I've not seen a dimmer switch for them, but you can buy or even make or adapt coloured filters for them. But if you want a good strong red light, you can get the bulb units with coloured led in them so you wont loose the throw of the beam. Phantom
  13. Looks of the pix, it looks to be a possibly modified ambi to me as there is a cheek piece on both sides, but one has been cut out? I would say that a left handed stock would have the cheekpiece/comb on the left hand My own personal preferance for a stock would be for an ambi so I can shoot from the right hand side or the left. Phantom
  14. Deben LEDRAY jobs are the same as the ultrafire/surefire but with half the light throw and three times the cost! Phantom
  15. Despite many peoples claims that FXare the same pellets as AA's, they are not identical, different weight, very slightly heavier and a slite difference in shape. When you change pellets you will find a change in your point of impact to your previous pellets. Some rifle barrels are very pellet fussy and what may work well in one, may not work well in another. Even if you get two identical rifles one may not like the same pellets as the other What are your groups on paper like with the FX's? Mine go low and to the left withn FX compared to AAF's so I rezero to take this into account
  16. I use one of these they are superb for airgun ranges and more! http://cgi.ebay.com.hk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170512470003&ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:HK:1123 I've got it mounted under my air cylinder, but I often put it on my scope. I then got a cheap duracell torch from home bargains with a couple of filters for a couple of quid. Only wanted the filters, a couple of winds of black electrical tape round the light rim and the filters just clip on, saved myself a FORTUNE. Incidently I got the sure fire/ ultrafire, because it has been proven by many guy's on here to be
  17. Woodies see in the Ultra Violate spectrum, not like us seeing in the Visible light spectrum. Its like a big sign saying "OVER HERE BUD!" they can see it for miles AND they can see it through the foliage of trees etc Read this: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/160852-woody/ Take note of posts 4, 11, 13, 17 and 31 Phantom
  18. Should have gone to S P E C K S A V E R S Old boy Phantom
  19. Well done Do a good job and you'll have the entire vally eventually even the one who don't want anyone on his land Phantom
  20. When up at Roos shooting, I can smell the sea although its not visible its not far away. Something about sea air that makes me feel so alive, yet so very relaxed. Wheres the "Aaaaagh thats sooooo goood Icon"? lol Also up at Roos Riff and I have seen a fair a few 'pure as driven snow' white bunnies I've not even had chance to even aim at them but Riffs knocked a few of them over Phantom
  21. I have a couple of these black bunnies on my permissions, only time I see em is when they are young. Left em to grow and aint seen hide nor hair of them since. Which is unfortumate as I have the chemicals now to preserve their hides. Its distasteful for some to read when we to put up stories of our not so clean kills; but alas it reminds us all that we are human and that we have all had them and those of us who say neigh are liars. One thing that stood out on your post though Mark is that you said you heard a "Thud"? It is my humble opinion that a thud means a hit in the chest?
  22. Allways get paranoid when someone does that Have I cocked up Davy? I'm always open to correction as you know Phantom
  23. Cruel to him, but it would have been more cruel if he'd have clipped one and it made off. Cruel to be kind, thats me Phantom
  24. Thats right, rub it in Davy will have to get out in all this crappy weather to catch up Funnily enough I was wandering round the cemy and paddock from midnight til 2:45 this morning with a friend of mine who I aint seen in over 15 years. He fancied a bit of lamping even though he's never shot a rifle before (other than an old paper cap on a roll job when he was about three). I'd managed to knock the elevation well off zero and needless to say there was no way he was gonna hit a barn door if he was sat on the latch He wasn't interested in poppin paper so I just humored him
  25. Hey there TL, First of all how much are you sticking in the air cylinder? If your filling it to the max DONT, because that will usually cause it to run very low and erratic intil you get into the sweet spot of the power curve. Think the S400 is around 175-180 bar down to about 100 or 110 bar. Once in this pressure range, your accuracy and power will rise dramatically. The reason as Mark mentioned is they are unregged. when you fill it above its sweet-spot, the pressure in the Air cylinder closes the valve before the right amount of air can be released. Once into that curve, th
