  4. I came very close to buying one when I got back into rifle shooting. Although the trigger can be a little rough, it will probably get better as you break it in, and if you so desire, you could polish the sears to smooth it out quicker. I'd have one, they seem to be pretty well built a nice weight (some say a little heavy but I've had heavier). Phantom

  17. Went out with my buddy Riffraff today ! He had offered to drive me up to Swanland today so we could check out my latest permission (bit far to walk) When we arrived 1st thing we noticed were a couple of Foles in the field. 2nd thing we noticed is that its open for people who are passing to see us and what makes it a real pain in the ass to shoot is its surrounded by a public footpath/bridleway on three sides and its very well used Third thing we noticed was that we could walk to within a few feet of the 5 or so Maggies that were scrapping over a female, they didn't seem to give
  18. So, there's this yellow toad wandering around in the forest kinda ticked off because he doesn't want to be yellow any more. Life would be easier if he were green like the other toads.. He'd sure be less visible to predators for one thing. Anyway... this yellow toad bumps into a fairy godmother. He begs her: "Fairy godmother, please make me green like the other toads. I am tired of being so visible to predators and suchlike." The fairy godmother whips out her magic wand and says, "Toadra-capokus! You're green!" The toad looks down and sees that he i

  20. Welcome to the forum buddy Just to stick another spanner in the works, there are 4 Cal's available to english airgun users each has its own advantages and each has its own disadvantages I won't bore you with the details but what I will say is Learn to shoot accurately with whatever gun you decide to purchase. If you have long arms, then something such as an S200 may well be a little short for you. Once you've learn't to shoot and put the pellet where you want it to go you will be able to shoot airgun quarry with ease. Phantom PS I Use .22 for hunting but only because I
  21. I often take spinal shots when they are the only shot available, but the spine on something as small as a woody it not a great target at that range especially if its a .177 as the margin for error is tiny. That to me is the real advantage of a .22, it narrows the margin for error and causes more shock trauma (because its slower) and much more tissue damage because its bigger. I was perhaps a little overkill with my comments and for that I appologise; however if you had hit the spine then the signals from the brain would not have been able to keep the heart beating, lungs breathing, nor
