Bill, What the feck was a fish doing in a tree with Buzzards Oh I know You put it there to lure them into range so you could get a shot on your camera phone? Phantom
-
As Davy suggests, dont fill it to 200 bar as this will make your shots pretty unreliable and inconsistant. My cylinder says 200 Bar as well but my sweet spot (the pressure where the shots reach the highest velocity and shot to shot consistancy) is 175 bar down to 100, this gives me 40 or so shots at max power that are more or less pellet on pellet. If I fill the cylinder to more than 180 bar, the shots go all over the place as the cylinder pressure makes the valve shut faster therefore there is less air gets through to propel the pellet. Bunnies are colour blind and just like a photographer (before we all went digital) we would develop our monochrome prints under the red light as mono-vision (and monochrome paper) is not sensitive to red light. Bunnies will see a white light as bright as daylight and thats what will spook em. I use my Ultrafire because it has a really good throw of light, this enables me to see the bunnies out in the middle of the permission and aout at the further points so I can sway the lamp, see them, turn it off and make my way over to them. Well the bunnies won't see it in the dark will they How much are you thinking of forking out for it? Phantom

Hi Strealthy Rather than stick a million and one questions on the forum, Sucba is sending me up some books on ferrets and ferret keeping Should save me and you lot a hell of a lot of typing eh? Phantom

I began lamping last year, in the cemetery permission I hold. I had no one to show me how to do it properly and it was a VERY STEEP erning curve indeed. Estimating ranges in the dark is a real pain in the butt and very difficult to get right. If you can find someone local to show you how its done its supposed to be a breeze. I used a gun mounted UltraFire Cree lamp (300 lumens) that I got from a guy on eBay, had the lamp, standard switch and remote pressure switch for the gun. Very effective for airgun ranges and (good for twice the distance actually), twice the light throw than

Well I guess we all have to start somewhere after all I had no Ideas on ferret keeping good job I've got good people on here; that I know are knowlageable and I can ask them any question, then after they've finished laughing and get back off the floor and back to the computer; I know they will give me a straight answer If she hadn't have walked off in a strop; Stealthy would have given her great advice Her loss Phantom

Hi there and welcome to the forum Many people use the S410 in .22 with warious scopes. Pellets can be a 'personal choice' as one barrel may like a particular type, another barrel from the same batch may prefere anothe type altogether. I think the most commonly used pellets mentioned in this forum are Air Arms Fields and the FX (my baby loves them both). The .177 is no less accurate than the .22 version, the difference is that the .177 version must fly faster to make up for the lack of muzzle energy (its a purely a math/physics thing and needn't concern anyone) thus the pellet fl

Sorry buddy, can't help you on the power drop, have you tried another "dry" tin? Give that a go and it will answer your question as to is it the lube? My Springer is running at a steady 10.5 and it is more than enough to drup bunnies at "normal" 35-40 yard airgun ranges. I have no doubt at all in my mind that a PCP as fine and accurate as the S410 will drop them at well beyond that range at that power, if you are up to doing your bit. Lets face it, you only need a tiny amount of retained energy to switch off a bunny instantly if your aim is true ie in the noggin. The longest

Wayyyhaaaayyyyy Finally; Well done and congratulations Triss Told you that you'd get there in the end Persaverance pays off in this game. You mention a 'Meagre" 9 acres, thats twice what I have and I have 7 seperate permissions (eight if you count the old guy next door to the woman who just gave me her back garden ) The old man has been trying to knock over bugs using a 12 guage in his garden granted it is a HUGE garden, but even so So now I'm going to be doing his bunnies as well. Regarding the maggies, stay well hidden stick a bunny out; some people say slit the gu

Well done Davy Oooh you don't alf go on sometimes Bloody good shooting, close range ones are allways more difficult in my opinion, but to slot it directly through the wild growth without clipping takes skill.
