  1. Thanks Bob, You can add a bipod, but the problems arise when you zero it. The springer likes to move in its own free ways (usually forwards and backwards) If you add a pod to it, the thing is very likely to jump upwards and off to one side, as well as forward and backwards. This itself is not a problem once you have worked out your zero properly when shooting from the pod. BUT when you try to shoot in any other position, your rifle will go its own merry way again and your going to miss the target by quite a margin. So I would deffinately avoid putting a pod on a springer.
  2. I'm sure a friend of mine owns a Titan 'Manitou' or something along those lines. Jeez was it loud without the Hogan Decimeater He then got a Spitzer pellet mould and cast his own lead "Air Bullets" for want of a better word. Deadly Accurate it is. Dont think its a FAC job though, but according to his crono, it sure was very close! Phantom
  3. Yah beat me to it Ron. If that does not help, then I would perhapos run a couple of turns of PTFE or even just a turn of electrical tape round the scope (cut thin enough to be hidden by the mounts). Hope these tips help Phantom
  4. Hey Nod, You can get mounts with a grub screw in them. Most rifles nowadays have a tiny hole drilled between the scope rails. The rear mount sits over this and the grub screw screws down into it. Or you could place your rear mount at the very end of the scope rails where the cut starts, its usually a little wider there, so the scope mount could not go beyond this. Phantom
  5. Hey up guy's its Davy's Birthday today:gunsmilie: Happy Birthday to the Meet Master All the best Buddy Tony
  6. Hey Jac They just slip around the wood and help greatly to improve your grip cosistancy. The best thing about the 'standard' side grip panels is that they are identical to the 1911 45 auto from Colt so you can buy mother of perl, slate, almost every kind of wood there is grips and rubber, but non of them have the finger spacing that the slip on Hogue will proved. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hogue-Handall-Universal-Pistol-Rifle-Grips-/130406934255?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item1e5cdbe6ef Phantom
  7. I seem to recognise that company name Oh yeah, I got me an air filter from them for about £8.00 instead of paying £42.00 from Hills Phantom

  9. You better get your other half to give you some "Wrist Excercise" then cus its a gun and a half in weight and in kick!! I would also suggest you get one of the 'Hogue' type grips to slip over the original grip as it will help with your hold consistancy Phantom
  10. Very good to hear that Bill Its great when you get 5 star after-sales service like that I found out yesterday that if you needed it you could ring HC and as long as you speak nicely to them, they WILL indeed honour the Warrenty Aparently they will only turn around and say get stuffed if like you you got it via other channels AND then started saying stuff like "Your the importer, its up to you" sort of thing. Enjoy your some more action with your new action Phantom

  18. My translation of this is: The airgun section is a well run, almost self moderating section; without a load of backstabing A-Holes that take everychance to slag each other off. And Ideation wishes that the other forums on here could be the same Am I correct Ideation? Phantom Aparently I'm wrong with my interpretation Sounds like he's no fun to be with (taken from the Ferreting section btw) Phantom Oh but Phantom i AM so much fun! You just need to get to know me That was written in reply to the assertion that we should be more like the air rifle sec
  19. The sand bags are a great idea for a springer or a rammer If thy are a little heavy call in at a craft shop and get some of the foam or polystyrene balls. Phantom
  20. Do you know how to modify the power output? Phantom
  21. :11: Yes someone does You can buy them that bolt on like mine, that meant drilling into the stock! You can also get clip on ones that spring open and clam to your barrel. And you can get the QD jobs (but you need to drill in the QD Stud) And the only other sort I can think of is one that bolts onto your barrel. Take a look on eBay and you'll find all kinds, choose the one that you feel would best do the job for you Is your rifle a PCP or Springer? Phantom
