Nice read Sym, If you'd have hit it in the eye, you'd have seen it, its not pretty You all know my worst shot at the bunny at Roos, so I won't go into it again as I'm trying to get sh!t faced due to bad news (well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it, I should be on my record bag shoot right now! F K ) My guess Sym is you clipped it on the skull, litterally by a thou' of a mm, hence enough energy xfere to knock it unconsious but not enough to keep it that way for long. Every one has the odd flyer or episode like this, John has gotten into the habit that I got into after I h

I'm with Stealthy on that You can buy realtree gun socks that cover the gun but if you really want a pretty good CUSTOM job, then Paddy from the UBC is the man to see http://www.pad-e.btik.com/p_Home.ikml He's been doing em for years and they are all one of a kind jobs. He's not out to make a fortune either Tell him Tony sent you if you make enquiries Phantom

:11: What mounts do you have Jac? What you have to remember is that most sellers will say anything to get a sale The guys and gal's over on the UBC forum will guide you to exactly the best of what your looking for. There are a hell of a lot HW45 owners over there including 2 or three of the management team (Cookie has several of them including the Silver Star version ) I'm not a fan of scopes on pistols, but a few of them are Phantom

A 30/30 is a fine ret and CGP also allows you to choose the ret you use and you can get used to it with a bit of work and effort But I found that since I moved over to mildot, I won't go back again Seriously, mildots are worth their weight in gold, no make that lead lol t5avs1 as you have already found out and stated, rangefinding in the dark is a pain in the butt but once you've mastered that its great, until it comes to summer where you will forget everything the winter nights have taught you and like me, you'll need to learn it all over again I'm hoping this winter I'll r

My own perspective on this is: If you want your Primary Zero at 35 yards, then thats the range to zero it at. This will give you (depending on your ME) a Secondary Zero of 9 to 11 yards. So if you set your combo at 10 yards, then your 35 yards zero will be off and not dead on what you thought; thus if you are going for brain shots there is a chance you are actually going over their heads. i ment 70 or yard not feet soz Looks like I spoke too soon. I use a PCP on a bipod running as close to the legal output limit as I dare. I have excellent Marksmanship skills (I don't like to blow my own trumpet, but at times it needs to be blown). I have absolutely no recoil to deal with; but I would never considder trying to shoot live quarry at that range Metal knockdowns and paper yes, they can't be injured! But a living animal will be As Matt says, air rifles are just not capable of those ranges Well they are if you are indoors on a range and shooting at 100 Gallo

Hi Alex, Shay is still around, unfortunately for him he's a very buzy boy at the moment, with work and on top of that getting his own business off the ground and with a wife and kids he's lucky if he gets time to sneeze at the moment Phantom

Looking at the one that you posted the link to, I wouldn't spend that kind of money its less powerful than the ones that Rob and I use. The Ultrafire uses the same Cree technology LED's as the one you've found, but they are more powerful I have used my lamp and batteries for about a year now, I purchased more rechargeable batteries for a small amount (something like 6 batts for about £7.00 inc p&p.) My lamp came from HK/China as did Rob's as does the one you linked to. Don't become a name snob Your correct about people (some) not liking Chinese made stuff. I have a Chinese

I'd heard that the trigger mechanism (sp?) was a bit exposed so that grit and dirt could get in and cause problems when it came to firing. But I think that was from someone who; like a bad workman; blamed his tools as an excuse for not being any good as a Marksman. Phantom

Cheers Deano, I'm really looking forward to getting them cooked up in a nice Cajun sauce Well I have to try them at least once dont I? Well I suppose crunching on nuts is better than licking nuts  Phantom

You beat me to it oh Darkside Master.. Does that mean that the AA users are the light side? Or just the plain old RIGHTSIDE ofn the force Phantom

Ahh another Darkside member Both Cuz Bill an Stealthy both have the HW100 (as do a hell of a lot of other guy's on here) I had actually heard that the trigger mech was quite exposed on the 100, but when I quearied it with Stealthy, he told me that he had never had any bother with it and he's out all year round more or less and of course with its German Pedigree its designed to last a lifetime and then some Only shot the 100 a couple of times I was very impressed Phantom

Hi again Tom 70 to feet is not what we would call a long shot. Indeed our nominal safe range would be around 30 yards or so (roughly 100 feet) Great to see your not talking crud and you are being sensible regarding your ranges for your age well done young man I would deffinatly suggest you use a sock or a bag with something inside to fill it perhaps an old pillow case stuffed with rags or the sand filled sock (or polystyrene ball balls or even bubble wrap) it will help you steady your aim and as you grow and your arms become more used to the gun that will also help you keep y

Hey guy's and doll's, Got a text from the lovely land owner thats given me her garden and her next doors garden for squizzers woodies and bunnies she and the family will be going away for a day or so and wondered If I could go up and damage the local vermin population while they are away. So my plan is a camping and 24 to 36 hour shooting expedition, yeeeeeeehaaaaa. So I'll be taking my little one man survival tent and my Sweedish Army Trangia stove and coffee percolator and I will have my trust baby killing machine pointing out of the entrance. Batteries are on charge for t

Try rubbing it with a cloth or tooth brush (old one), then put a little oil on it, that should help reduce the amount visible and then its just a question of keeping on top of it a quick wipe down with an oily cloth or a quick spray of WD40 onto a cloth then rub all over the metal work. Could even go and have it re-blued or blacked, but to do it properly takes time effort and money! So I'd go with the WD40 and rag route It works a treat on my S200 (and it has a fair bit of rust if you look really close up) Phantom

What rifle is it and where is the rust? Inside or out? How deep is it etc? Phantom
