Theres plenty on here said they would nt go back to mb for another if you reread this topic, OK so I'll ask you what made you decide to get a pup from mb? Your mate had one and you thought it OK, contacted mb and ordered one, Did you ask to see the parents working? Are there many whippets/lurcher breeders on the Rock? to compare with whats available? Working Whippets is simply a gimmick mb coined previously they were just called whippes and did what whippets had been doing for many decades Y.I.S Leeview Here we go again, why are you askin a question ive already given the answer too r

whats the definition of making a claim? to have proof of purpose?(i dont look at pictures) i owned a bitch from mb lines a few years back (i have 6 whippets none with ss blood so no axe to grind) the bitch worked like a train and had the heart of a lion every other dog from those lines that i have been out with have been able in the field so MY claim is based on those facts, get a grip we are talking about a guy who breeds rabbiting dogs for people who are happy to buy them if he was breeding crap demand would have dried up years ago The definition of claim? You wrote he bred working whippe

think this is getting out of context mb breeds working whippets they do what it says on the tin end off no bad practice or selling them out of the back of a van at a dog track. try asking Tony or Bert Dent (who have forgotton more about coursing with whippets than i know)their opinion about mb PB "mb breeds working whippets" someone else making a claim that they are working bred? Not one person has actually seen HIS dogs work but are happy to believe pictures of HIS dogs with rabbits in his yard but that dont make them workers in my eyes As for bad practise what would you call a pup t

OK no1jibber(or anyone else for that matter) if your after a pup from working lines would you want to see at least one of the parents, preferably both working to see if they suited what you were after? or would you be satisfied looking through a photo album and believing what the breeder told you? Y.I.S Leeview

Thats your cop out then Not one person has ever seen his dogs work FACT but feel free to correct me but i wont be holding my breath Y.I.S Leeview

more than happy, if the right breeding is there its half the battle done the rest is up to you or who ever, lifes to short to be jealous over another mans success alb jibber "if the breeding is there its half the battle" so mb is breeding from dogs that no one else has seen working the fact that people have bought pups from him and have been satisfied with them says a lot bit like the Kings new clothes Why are HIS dogs only ever photographed in his yard Y.I.S Leeview

gonetoearth you obviously understand the NH scene well and I totally agree with the dedication these jockeys have for their sport is it not also true that they are all equal as far as payment for riding in a race ie every jockey is on the same rate per ride? Im sure it used to be £65 per ride Y.I.S Leeview

Yes it is a Carrick Bend I call it a single knot as opposed to a double knot which is 2 seperate knots, one on top of the other, and yes you need to be holding the thread to the top edge, finger behind and thumb in front of your meshboard. this should sort the increasing out as well Good Luck Y.I.S Leeview
-
sounds to me that your not holding the thread down with your thumb long enough, When you come up through the mesh you should be holding the thread down with your thumb now throw a loop(to the left if your needles in your right hand)and take your needle round the back of the loop now DONT close the knot bring the needle across the front of the loop then bring the needle up through the loop(where you started) now draw the knot to a close, its a lot easier than it sounds Y.I.S Leeview

I agree with boo, I'v seen penty of buzzards ranging from very light to almost black on the back, same with the size, you see some real scrawny small ones from time to time. plus a goshawk is more of a slate gray with a more bow'd wing, like a big cock sparrow hawk "like a big cock sparrow hawk" females are a lot bigger than the males Y.I.S Leeview

the problem is with that theory, that most posts end up as a pissing contest. it becomes so bad that the decent folk stop logging on....and the forum dies. as said....nothing wrong with REASONED debate and a difference of opinion, but some people seem to take "a difference of opinion" as a personal insult. IMHO thats where a good mod would step in and nip it in the bud Y.I.S Leeview
