    "the wind is billowing etc etc" that applies to setting a long net as well but manage to set them OK the stones would already be close to hand at the gate PPPPPP I stated under the pictures I'd put more stones on as an example a gate net is used on gates, if there is nt a gate your using a stop net surely?     no offence matey but youve done very little gatenetting ( if any )? if youdid you would know that it is very hardto balance the stones and it is also very loud not what you want when you plan to do the nieghbouring fields . . .     OK fergie here goes a stop net used as it says to stop fleeing rabbits,usually passed through a hedge and beyond,can be put in a clearing or anywhere to stop them escaping, length can be from 3yds up to 25yds or more Gate nets usually the width of a farm gate,they are draped over the bottom of the gate and can held by stones (on the gate) which will be dislodged when a hare or rabbit hits the netand gets entangled Poke nets are generally large purse nets with pegs at both ends or sides depending how you set the net This basically is the simplest description of the 3 nets you asked about

    Cant recall exactly but just outside Newcastle on Hadrians Wall,long since excavated and the artefacts removed to the museum on site,in one of the showcases there is a spoon handle in ivory thats carved beautifully with 2 dogs running a hare into it.Points to the Romans having them and thinking enough about them to incorporate them into everyday objects Y.I.S Leeview

    I've got a HiLux with locking wheel hubs, the drivers side is a quarter turn from free to lock the nearside will only go from free to half way(inbetween)lock any ideas on why and can you get service kits to do them? Y.I.S Leeview

    You mention VHD,Myxi and the bad winter.....Why did nt the bad winter kill off these diseases and viruses? Anyone any ideas? Y.I.S Leeview The winter can't kill diaease as it's carried inside a nice warm bunny... it can halt the spread of it across the ground on humans and animals feet, Thats my point the rabbits were dead or dying, it was pitiful to see the carcases laid about even blown about they were that lightweight at the end of last season now myxi is flea borne affecting rabbits nothing else so what did the fleas survive on till numbers of rabbits picked up and they have not t
