  1. Is that the same greyhound bitch that you were selling pups out of not so very long ago, bull X pups, both parents shown on the advert?
  2. Try some Saint Ettienne ( available in Aldi's) looks like cans of stella, tastes the same, but'll blow yer suede off for a fraction of the price. Offer for Stella is still on in Aldi's, got some today, bargain. If all else fails, meths will do the trick, keep your dogs cuts and grazes clean, take the scabs off yer tackle and get you coma tosed, or so i'm told

  10. I had a mate who had a dalmation as a working dog. It was not by choice, but his Partners kid had to have one when a 101 dalmatians was on in the flix, after the novelty wore off and the dog grew up a bit, my mate decided to start taking it out with his terriers for a bit of exercise, and much to his astonishment and delight took to foxing (pre ban of course) like the proverbial duck. The dogs would draw them out of the ground as sweet as a nut, which was quite handy really as my mate happened to come accross quite a few in his wanderings. I can assure you this is true, unusuall granted, but
  11. That is, without doubt, the best hunting tattoo I have ever seen. A work of art.

  13. I was told that this lady is the daughter of the late great Bert Gripton. I wonder if its true ?. I have some of her works on the walls at home from when she used to live in Swansea. Superb...

  15. I have to agree with the above, also I find the Battle's helps to keep them flea free in this warm weather, have sponged it on sometimes ( following the correct dilution rate of course) if and when I spot a bit of itching, so that must be safe for them, wet or otherwise. Approx one lite of Battles to 250 litres of water (or a 40 gallon nylon drum in old money) I know it might not be the "correct" thing to do but A) It doesn't say not to, It works,,you really ought to see the fleas dying in front of your eyes, and C) He who dares wins Rodney. Try it on a small patch first though in case som

  19. Falconry, the art and practice, by Emma Ford covers all manner of subjects. Also a book by Lee William Harris, called The Harris Hawk. I found these very informative. Hope this helps. I would suggest that if you have any questions about falconry, longwings , broadwings in general, go on to the Falconry section of this forum, there's a wealth of experienced people on there that will be only to willing to advise you. Hope this helps WAB
  20. Bull crosses are renown for their prey drive, and what they do when contact is made. They are generally speaking, bred for a job, and this they aquit themselves at very well. Having said that , they aren't only a point and slip dog, far from it, they are very intelligent animals, loyal and faithfull. One thing I would say though is that, in my humble opinion, they are not the first time'rs breed of dog, with a bull cross they have to know from the get go where exactly they fit in in your pecking order, and also what is acceptible and what is not, and this has to be striclty adhered to, more
  21. Now then, listen to this one, discovered something the other day that really does work. Put my Larsen over with my hens as I was losing eggs at a rate of knots, caught one of the offending bar stewards, who died almost straight away, but not before I caught another. I put fresh drinking water and a container fready to hold some ood for it, I had no dog biscuits, tins of dog food etc etc, and have used them all over the years, so, having watched too much Ray Mears, decided to "use whats around me", as I was over the chickens at the time I put a couple of handfulls of layers pellets in, just t
  22. Let him have as much food as he wants, good quality food, once his growing starts he'll lose it, his puppy fat, hence the expression. But good quality food and plenty will give him good timber to build on, a dog with poor timber under him is a dog that'll get injured a lot more than those who have good timber. Good luck, and a belting pup as well. ATB WAB
