  2. Got to agree with you there mate about Neath Gun Shop, a a very good shop and Dai Moses ( assuming he's still alive and running it, its been a while ) is a genuine guy,
  3. We dont all live in the land of milk and honey Farlap. The prices they charge for one inoculation you can do a whole litter with yourself for. Have never bought one from the vet yet and dont intend to start now ( and with out any incident, touch wood, of any of the deseases). I have just seen one vet site on line where you can get a bottle of 10 doses for the whole spectrum of the above for £ 48.00, it would cost me that much for 1 in the vet, hence my initial question Regards B
  4. Your a very lucky young man to have the back up and support at home with the bird. Your mews are first class and a credit to you, your enthusiasm is also spot on, and you have a lovely bird to work with. I think the art of falconry holds a great future for you mate, I hope you have a long and succesfull time with it. I think that falconers and or Austringers need more committed young uns like you to start with the sport, and less of the overnight wonders, that last about that long, you are the future of it mate. I wish you all the very best. It's a pleasure to see someone going about it proper
  5. Practical poultry is a good site for asking questions on all manner of poultry. I have 8 KK ducks, and have been getting 8 eggs a day off them, but tailed of a bit for a few weeks as were moulting, but back up to 7 again every day. They dont need much room and a shallow pond, or even a large washing up bowl or similar will suffice them, as long as they can get their heads in and have a good wash. I built a pond for mine about 12 ft around and a foot or so deep, and they prefer to use the large water bowls I put out for them as well Give them plenty of fresh water to drink and dabble in and y
  6. A horse is the last thing i would have they scare the crap out of me , that one was frisky & it rolled in the dust for a bit so i took my chance with the camera Nothing like aroll in the dust if your feeling frisky........... Gets everywhere though
  7. Without having to trawl back through my EDRD collection to find a number, where's the best and cheapest place to get some af the 6 in 1 jabs, for parvo, hardpad, lepto , kennel cough, distemper, heomoroids, smelly feet etc ( I know, I didn't spell haemohroids right, I should have just wrote Piles!!) 9. A lot of good and valid points on this thread, people breeding a litter just 'cause they're bull crosses, look the part etc, to much money involved, the latest fad etc, all are valid points, but I think that there's one missing maybe, some one buy's a bull cross, with a bit of luck a tidy one, takes it out, see's it working and then perhaps shits his / her pants. The "overnight" bull X owners quite often aren't prepared for the "prey drive" that a decent one may have, and then realise that they have taken on too much dog for them, and hey presto, it's up for sale with some cock and bull stor

  11. Learn him his manners fella, and keep at it until it's habit with him, you teach him good manners and whats on the menu and whats not now and he'll be a joy to own and work, dont bother with the manners and he'll do your f@ckin head in. period. Regardless of what some say on this site, a well bred, well socialised and well mannered bull cross is a joy to behold, a neglegted one is a f@ckin time bomb. You reap what you sew my friend. Best of luck to you. PS Dont for one minute let it think that it wears the trousers and not you. I read an article once in EDRD by Welsh All Black called

  16. No offence taken, but I said he disliked kids ....... I didn't say he was aggressive or nasty towards them. As a matter of fact he cowers away from them if they walk past him at shows or events but luckily I live on an isolated farm with no kids for miles so he can't get terrorised by them under normal circumstances. He is fine with kids who visit here. The point I was trying to make, albeit badly, is that dogs are born with genes which shape their personality ........ it is up to us, as responsible dog owners, to ensure that they learn the correct way to behave in society and bring out th
  17. Hi Hunting kid, Some of the replies to this thread are worth noting, others not so. ANY dog, regardless of breed that shows ANY sort of aggression be it visually or physically to a person, regardless of size or colour is an accident waiting to happen. A dog of 6 months old is still a puppy ( not needing to have work to sort it out ), any level headed pup of that age, regardless of if its only just arrived a day or so or been there weeks, should be acting like a puppy, rolling about on its back coming to you on its belly with tail wagging, generally in a very subserviant nature, as the v
  18. Seems quite a high protein content , unless your out an awfull lot..
  19. No offence mate, but if it's only 6 months old and showing agression towards children, do yourself and all other parents a favour and have him pts. Dont sell him on, that dog has set his stall .
