  7. If the dog is good enough, then he'll create his own history........... ATB WAB PS Fine looking animal mister.
  8. If these weren't bull crosses, what were they doing in the Bull cross class then? It's a sticky wicket this one, a bull cross that is quite obviously a bull cross, might not be allowed into say a smooth dog over 23 inches, but a smooth dog over 23 inches may be allowed into the bull cross class because two generations ago it was out of a bull cross. Theres so many bull crosses out there these days of various fractions, first cross, 5/8 3/8, 3/4 1/4, that some might not look like your archetypal head of a bull and body of a greyhound thats been on steroids, but are nevertheless a bull cross. 9. It is a good book....as are all of Strattons books. A good read is guaranteed. WAB
  10. Andy A mate of mine lives about 7 miles from you, he flies two HH and loves to take interested parties out, his birds are put to moult at the mo but i'm sure he would only be to happy to take you out next season, as he did with me when I started, he even loaned me one of his HH to get me on the right track, a better mentor you wouldnt wish to have, obviously i'd have to ask him first. BUT he doesn't suffer fools gladly and if your a knob you will be treated accordingly. I am near Builth, I note another on this thread is from Llandod, small world innit. ATB WAB
  11. Have a word with Simoman off here, he did a good article on it if I remember correctly ( he's one of the moderators so mind you P's abd Q's !! ) ATB WAB
  12. As James Douglas used to say in his videos when whipping off the wedding tackle of a buck "You'll no be needing these ne mere " Well done Mate, hope the rest of the season brings you good luck ATB WAB
  13. Christ Harry Mac, you've been about the place a bit with your .308 fella !! WAB
  14. And sheep, as part of his "puppy stage", and obedience training let him know from the get go that certain things are off the menu, this my friend will reap the rewards for years to come. As far as not being interested in bunny's at the mo, he's not long left the tit, let nature take its course, and rest assured it will. Work and time spent on basic training / obedience and good manners now will give you a well balanced dog thats a pleasure to own and work for years to come. Best of luck with him. ATB WAB
  15. Cut his throat, that'll stop him crowing......
  16. I saw a DVD of the Gimp working, cant find the bloody thing now, but the dog I saw working wasn't for the feignt hearted, the right sort of stuff to use for breeding. It's good to see someone with a breeding programme in mind and keeping lines fairly close, I wish you well with it. By the way, the pups are as good as I have ever seen, reared with no expense spared and the right know how, a credit to you L&L. ATB WAB
  17. Yes, I used to live in them, nailed sole variety, but not so much now as there are easier lighter goretex ones about. I still have my original pair which are donkeys years old, had a few new soles fitted, but still as good as new. Top quality leather in them, make sure you treat them well before and after use, I have founf Mars oil to be a good product, although nik wax, dubbin lamb tallow have all been tried over the years. ATB WAB
  18. That dont look like a neglected dog to me , quite the opposite in fact, a nice sort of black 'un as well. ATB WAB
  19. Try Ifor Williams trailers, I think they make them. ATB WAB
  20. Found one site Peticious.com £15.17 a bottle (145ml not the aerosol spray), or go to ebay and put in Duramitex, theres one there for £12.95, plus p&p. I got mine from everythingforpets.com, click on pigeons and contact them. I didn't realise they had gone up so much in price !!! ATB WAB
  21. Alternatively you can use double sided sticky tape (like they used to use on Blue Peter) and wrap it a few times around the perch for about six inches on either side and you'll catch the fuc5kers as they travel to and from their little hidey holes " tarra, jobs a good un. As far as Duramitex goes I'm sure I saw some ona site the other day, I'll try and find it and post it on here, I get mine from there no worries, I'll go and have a look for you ........watch this space, I shall return WAB
  22. You can get the real stuff still (on the quiet), and I use it inside, outside on top underneath and anywhere else I can find in my hen houses. Yes it does keep red mite at bay but only for so long. An annual spraying of Harkers Duramitex (pigeon loft treatment) will sort out your red mite probs quicker than a whippet on speed. Works for me. Enjoy. ATB WAB
  23. Be sure and let us all know when it's due out Johnny, and where we can find the thread for it . ATB WAB
