  1. Welsh Assembly Govt have recently approved a Badger cull in some "hotspots", in West Wales area. Don't know when it's gonna kick off, dont know if it's gonna be as effective as they think. Sounds like you boys in the Emerald Isle have had some bad times with it. Also sounds like we have similar arsholes in high govt positions over here as well !! Keep your shovels shiny boys
  2. Pont Ar Elan Show, Near Rhayader, Mid Wales. Secretary's phone number is 01597 811 299. Real good show, lurchers terriers and hound trails etc. Regards WAB
  3. Iknow a fella from Brecon ( I saw in a recent post that you said your from Brecon), I wonder are the same fella?? you got a Bull cross bitch, called Rosie, or are you a different bloke. Cheers
  4. Hoggs of fife used to do a cracking fell boot, I imagine they still do, Have you tried the ones with a nailed sole, they are shit hot off tarmac, teriffic grip and the nails clean out the shit pretty quick as well. FANTASTIC for digging with, Drawbacks, on tarmac you sound like a carthorse and on ice you look like Torvil and Dean, otherwise a very good boot. Plenty of MARS OIL to feed the leather (advice given me by a fella who makes saddles for a living). Hope this is of some use to you guys. PS I also have pair of Meindle boots and they are also very good, but very expensive. Chee
  5. The price of juice has gone out of control . It's very tempting to go back to using Gas oil again, got your own tank, 61p per litre, at the pumps 81p per litre, fine if caught £500.00 on the spot, no I.O.U's or I'll pay you when i get home. Can get a bit rough If you do a lot of mileage though it's gotta be worth a thought, trouble is, once used they can trace it for years afterwards in your fuel system (or so they say) so if you start on it you just as well keep on it and fill yer boots, and yer tank Keep on truckin!
  6. Nice looking pup mister, hope he turns out all you want him to.
  7. See, I told you lol If that doesn't get Charlie boy's attention, he's fuc*in' deaf
  8. Sorry guys, I should have been a bit clearer .(just read my original chapter and pissed myself laughing at the reply's) I didn't mean that the lorry wing mirror was attached fu**in' wholesale, arm and all!! The old type wing mirror could be stripped, beading removed and "THE GLASS ONLY", could be Duck taped onto the side of your battery box, leaving your hands free. Your quite right, it works better at longer distances, and the lip 'n' hand works better at short distances. Whichever way you choose, as long as it works for you, that's the main thing. Sorry for any confusion caused A
  9. Warrener videos may give you a few pointers. I used to attach an old lorry wing mirror to my battery box which hung over my right hip and used a block of polystyrene accross it (wet the glass first) thus leaving your left hand free for holding lurcher for destruction of said varmint. Good luck. Or you can drag the polystyrene accross your car windscreen, makes a hell of a noise when you apply different pressures, carries a long way and your lips dont go to bleed after an hour or two!!
  10. I was an absolute fan of the "Old Grey Box", bought a B&F and still used the grey box (firkin numpty ) Tried the B&F , got used to it now wont use anything else A lot of money to lay out at the start, but what price do you put on a working terrier...............?? There is no price to put. Buy one my friend, best thing since quick release knicker elastic W.A.B
  11. How about considering a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull bachgen, the speed will be plentifull and bull crosses(given the opportunity) will hunt well, and no need to worry about the bottle for drawing etc, although I may be a bit biased 'cos I love bull crosses and only work theses crosses. Again I saw a Wheaton cross going the other night and he was spot on, game as a pebble. I wish you well, best of luck to you
  12. Any running dog or indeed any dog that will be expected to work, and work hard as an adoloscent into maturity needs firm foundations laying down. Shovell the grub(good quality grub) into him/ her as a sapling. Spare no expense because the effort you put in now will reap you benifits in the future. As your charge reaches working age (thats a can of worms in itself) you will see it develop in front of your eyes, as a rule of thumb, when my Bull crosses are fit, working fit, you might just see the last couple of ribs, and just about be able to feel his pin bones ( at the base of the back on top o
