  5. This story is straight up and true no bullsh1t. I was outside a garage on friday, having a smoke, when two of them community police people rode past on bikes.Over the other side of the road was a,what looked like father and son,on their pushbikes on the road, they saw the comm police person and shouted"excuse me"with that they rode across the road and down the pavement towards the comm police, they said "could you tell me where this road is please",when suddenly the comms police said"do you know its againest the law to ride your bike on the path"the father just looked bewildered, then the comms

  7. If you look at my hands today you will realise how bad the cover was must admit though this hedgerow was the best one on the farm undergrowth wise.
  8. Nice shooting mate and well done on the snared rabbit. Next time you set a snare on the fence, why don't you just use the brass wire and tie it directly to the fence, you don't need the tealer on it it makes life that bit easier and they are very effective. Most of these in this photo where fence snared. Not having a go at you my friend, just passing on a bit of advice

  11. Agree there mate, them young bulls are nuts, they start running towards you then forget to stop, once one starts running the rest follow, can be quite a pant filling moment when theres about 20 of them running towards you . Saw one the other day,it was eating grass close to the eletcric fence when suddenly ZAP striaght across its nose,it went mad ran round the whole field, then started scrapping the ground with its foot and foaming at the mouth,i decide to shoot in another field
  12. It would have been nice if he rang you to tell you mate. Arthur cartr mate is the place i use,24 hour postage and if out of stock he phones to let you know.Try him next time no complanits from me
  13. Went to a differant part of the farm today,a hedgerow running at the side of a track. There are a few little setts in this hedge, biggest one is about 5 holes.Thought it would be a ideal place to start a coule of young 'uns off. Fist set was just a one holer,so i thought i would net the hole and start here just to get the ferret used to passing through the net and going down holes. The ferret had other ideas, put the ferret in,and with in less the a minute a rabbit was in the net .I was pretty happy by now as STEALTHY1 said in one of his airgun post, you know you are not going to blank now ,so on

  22. If the burrows are in sand they tend to go deep,so when you come to dig your ferret out there is a big risk of the sand caving in while you are down the hole.MAKE sure you take somebody with you. If you can't/or don't feel comfortable ferreting them you could all ways use fenn traps or snares. Or you could look round to see if there is any smaller burrows THAT you can ferret. Then just stink the big burrows out and the rabbits will move to the smaller burrows. Well done on your first permission.
  23. Well done ratcherman.........still a ugly looking sod i see
