    Went up to a field today to set a few fences snares along a fence the rabbits where going through to get to the wheat. The weather was not ideal,still and cold,but it beat staying in the house. Took 14 fence snares up,i had made these snares about 2 days before so they was brand new and shiney.Even though the was brand new it made no differance at all they still caught rabbits. A few pics. The fence line i snared. Fist rabbit it the bag. Few more rabbits. As you can see from this photo,this rabbit was caught round the back,the snare was set to low. End of

    Just wondering who gives the people who have gave you permission to hunt their land a bit of something at xmas to say thank you? The reason i ask is because i was shopping with my mum and i bought a couple of bottles for the farmers and she said why, you are doing them the favour,i tried to explain that permission was hard to come by so it keeps the landowners sweet,but she still doesn't get it.

    Went out today for an hour,under strict instructions from the good lady to be back for 11.00am so we can go xmas shopping,O the joy ,Took my dad and made sure he DID NOT have his mobile phone with him gets up to the farm and set of for the warren we was going to do.On the way i noticed my dad had his flask and was holding it very tight and close to him.Strange i thought he normally leaves it in the car.So got to the warren set the long net up,turns round and my dad is drinking out of his flask, and a few purses nets,only a 12 holer but it was under a bramble patch.I said to me dad "we will h

    Yellow nets didn't stop these 2 bolting . As its been said,the colour of the nets makes no differance at all,plus they are easier to find in the hedge bottom.

    On silent that would take him a week to figure that out. He had a go with the mk3 ferret finder,he was half way across the field trying to get a mark,by which time the ferret had reappered from the OTHER direction KAY i glad you and other people enjoy the posts it makes putting them up worth while .The reason he had them jeans on was because he went out friday night on the booze and woke up late saturday morning,so just chucked them on .     Well done mate looks like you will be busy. On the second from the bottom pic,the hole on the bank with hte row of trees,does that hole go straight through the bank to the other side??if it does it would be a nice place to set a fenn trap for rabbits might even pick up a bonus squirrel

    Nipped out for a few hours ferreting took the old man with me,who had a chest infection,i said don't bother coming but he would not listen.So we are driving down to the farm,the old man having his third coughing fit in half an hour,decided to spit it out the window.He spat it out wound the window up and turned to me..........and there it was, something green hanging off his chin :sick: :sick: .I said wipe your chin you dirty barstool,but he couldn't do anything for laughing then i started laughing the car was all over the place.So we pulled up to the field,it was water logged,so put the car

    Apart from £5.00 every 2 weeks for my own car for ferreting and the like,permish just down the road.For any other trips shops,etc i use the works van so the fuel is paid for

    I know what you mean about hedgerows all my permish as hedgerow warrens,some thick some nearly clear like this one. Others are a bit more overgrown like this one. Sorry about the big pics can't seem to get them smaller
