  1. Don't get wet or feed after midnight.
  2. Spot on Mr L, BORS is an integrated electronic ballistic computer that mounts directly on your riflescope and couples to the elevation knob. Just turn the elevation knob until the LCD displays the target’s range. The BORS’ three internal sensors will have automatically calculated your ballistic solution. It compensates for aiming up or down, temperature, and barometric pressure changes. It even tells you if the rifle is canted. Place the crosshair on the target and fire with first-round confidence. Currently, BORS is dimensioned for and compatible with non-illuminated Leupold Mark IV
  3. Whatever price you pay, and there is a big difference around the country, a proper job will have the threads aligned to the bore axis and not the outer dimensions of the barrel. Not something all engineering firms appreciate ATB PV
  4. yea with out proof too. Look aroun and you will get a cheap silencer and screw cut/proof for 130 ish. Pass the B&D workmate and bean can.

  9. If your shooting at 600-1000 yrd target shooting your looking at a minimum x25, preferably x36 to x45.
  10. Spend a bit extra on dies, benchrest dies (Forster-Redding) support the bullet and case on a common axis for more accurate rounds. Micrometer dies for accurate seating depth. http://www.forsterproducts.com/Pages/dies.htm
  11. Snapshot is spot on regarding effects of wind at distance, believe it or not 4-600yrds is considered mid range when target shooting, but shooting paper doesn't leave wounded animals, although my preference would still be 6Br for this distance(limited factory ammo is available) .243 Win is an excellent calibre and varying components are easily purchased.
  12. Hold fire on those mate, there are 2 lads here sending them back due to a problem with peeling. I know what your saying mate but I've heard good and bad about lots of boots, need some boots fast. Mouflons were recommended, didn't work out. Some have had for years no trouble, some like me 12 months.
  13. Meindl Dovre Extreme Getting these as replacements for my Mouflons that split, hope to have better luck with them.
  14. I think Martins recommendation of 6Br is the way I'd go. Thinking of asking for a variation on my ticket for one, maybe when funds allow.
  15. http://www.precisionrifle.co.uk/ Give this site a look, hosted by Vince Bottomley UK's 1000yrd light gun record holder. 2.670 inch 5 shot group. (use google earth and see how far 1000yrds really is) another good site http://www.freewebs.com/fclassuk/index.htm
