    Personally though, I would stay away from a Working sire. Once they've started to chase rabbits, even if they haven't caught one, there still classed as workers and can be very aggressive after! My lurcher is from great showing stock, but when it see out pet rabbit, Fluffy, you can see him licking his lips, and I'm sure this has come from his dad chasing a rabbit once. Anyway we've called in a dog trainer/behaviourist so hopefully we can cure this.

    Also, I too prefer to breed a young bitch as I think they bond better with the pups, as there still pups themselves and they look really cute playing together in the garden.

    I've a strong saluki x that produced some good pups when he was mated to a bull x bitch. He's retired now but has been a pretty handy dog. Very clever and a good hunting brain too. I'm in lincolnshire if your interested.

    My old bull/grey bitch had this. Never did cure it. Some dogs just don't grow hair on the insides of the back legs very well.

    No one is making anybody buy one. I bet they sell them no probs and good luck to them. It's not polluting the working gene pool so it does nobody any harm.

    What's the problem?? They probally make great family pets. The probally don't malt, chase everything that moves and are great with kids. What do you want them to have?? A fooking great big lurcher?

    Even if my dogs pinned one or it broke its legs, you wouldn't be getting me in there to despatch the brute!!!

    I wound use a fast saluki lurcher. Very fast, but more stamina, agility and a hunting brain.

    I think a dog like this will be my next dog....hopefully. Should be very useful, especially as they retrieve.

    It's a shame really watching him loose like that, but still a nice pay day for him, but the loss, cost him£200 grand! Ouch. I think you'll still see silva fight in super fights. Too much money for everyone to turn it down.
