  1. If there is that much wild polecat in them, what are they like to handle mate?
  2. i always wear these for being out with dogs in winter. good boots!!!!
  3. The best way to approach this is clearly with professionalism. Just use ferrets and nets, no dogs or guns. Put some signs up with the wording "PEST CONTROL" and where hi viz vests, this way pest control is more accepted than hunting. I know its not ideal but its a good face you are putting on.
  4. funny.....but what i'm concerned about is, why were you looking for them????????
  5. yep...realtree jam jams, head torch on and a knife!!!! grrrrrrrrrr real hunters...lol
  6. this has been going on for years...burn the fuckers!!!!
  7. i wander how many make out they get out all the time and to be truthful only get out...say once a month!!!! thats a true keyboard hunter....ha ha
  8. Goto keyboard settings in the control panel. change it back to UK and get rid of the USA setting
  9. Fantastic picture mate. Alright Col, von has told me all about that little dog of yours (both of you) having that great ability to pull those bunnies from walls. its great aint it Cheers Gaz
  10. Myself and another lad will mooch up in the dales, at first we used to bag 30 at least in a couple of hours. Unfortunatly you end up being a victim of your own sucess, the last time we went we got 11(i think). Love it up there!!!! when i go local, i mooch every day...lucky to catch 1!!
  11. yep crap....and its only just in February. i'd expect another month at least, but times running out. Hopefully the snow has gone and there is cloud to cover the (nearly full)moon this weekend.
  12. this weather is shite, alright for ferreting in but its doing my head in i cant get out with the lamp
  13. Have i had this before, you ask? yep every weekend for the last month, same as last year and the year before that. Its just the way it is now, you cant really predict when they'll be carrying young, as they're shagging all year round now. They'll carry them, but if the cold snap comes in (like now) then the young will die in the burrows, my jill came out the hole with a cold one last weekend. You'll need to keep going as long as possible, otherwise you'll lose your permission. I've got permission from landowners after i said i do it all summer, do i f**k.
  14. I once used am army issued Night vision scope for a walk out when out lamping once. Its alright i suppose, but i wouldn't ever buy one. Yeah you can see whats out there, before banging the lamp, but thats it. you still have to switch your lamp on eventually. and yeah, someone else can see your IR signature
  15. very interested..just up the road. as already mentioned, no one can PM you mate
  16. i am not sticking anything up my dogs hoop, just to catch a few more bunnies...lol...no f*****g way.
  17. i shouldn't laugh really...but its her way. no one will stop "THE TANK!!!"
  18. luckily he or admin has removed his f****d up statement.
  19. brilliant pics moll......looks a fantastic session. See my little sweetheart was doing the business again.
  20. Your pup is too young to even watch "and learn" anything at 15 weeks old. Already stated...let your pup be what it is...a pup!!! Teach it the right things first, recall, stockbreaking are the two most fundamental disciplnes your pup definitly needs to learn, to become a good lurcher. i take it that your "mate" is a bit inexperienced, otherwise he'd be giving you advice as well. Where in Manchester are you mate? I'm only just south of you in Macclefield, your quite welcome to join me at the start of next season. In the meantime keep asking lots of questions on here. Remember we are all learning
  21. any dog will work..but whether if it does for what you want it to do and at the level the owner requires, is a different matter. one mans acceptence of a dogs capabilities, maybe isn't for the other man down the road
  22. firstly i'd like to know why he has decided to looked at this particular litter. he might be getting a pup for free and wandering if it has any chance of being any good in the field. if he has to pay for one (£100 plus) then i agree, go for a litter that has been bred for purpose....worker to worker. That way its another peg into knocking back those that breed any dogs together for making money. The best working litters are from those that the breeder wants to keep one for themselves.
