Fendona is a knock down mate..not an IGR. I need an IGR for this particular job. Cheers for the response anyway
-
She was never a great lamping dog, but ferreting and mooching she'd match any dog. Too much collie, too much brain and chose her runs. Sorry lads, i've moved from a minshaw thread...lol

Yep i'll agree smart looking lurcher. Hope you have the right guidance (if you need it) and try to be patient as you can. All the best with her mate. Oh....that f*****g text spiel. -
Oh yeah...can you imagine the customers face when i start mopping away on her best sheep skin rug and bedding with sheep dip....lol

Alright lads, to all you that do pest controllers out there. I'm about to do another flea infestation and realised i was a bit low on Tenopa spray and tried to order some more and they were down to their last bottle and its now no longer available from July. What i'm asking, what do you lads recommend as an IGR? Cheers Gaz

sorry to hear that DL as i know the bitch has been doing well for you and you are more than happy with her, i dont know if i will ever breed off my bitch as it's not my thing nor do i have the time to be honest but i surpose i still have the option,,,,if i ever did you would be more than welcome to a pup as our dog's are very closely bred just dont hold your breath lol Cheers for that offer mate, I love that racier look in a lurcher as well. No pup for me until Xena is at least 5-6 years old. Although saying that, my old faithful Coco has gone into retirement. Same day i took Xena into

get 2nd opinion It kind of was...another vet had said it before. Sorry mate, i should've mentioned it. To be honest, it might be for the best, if Xena isn't right 9 weeks after her season and this lasts for a few weeks then i'm happy to get her done. Pups are always out there, and Xena's health comes first!!1

Well Xena wont be carrying on the lineage. Unfortuntly she is gonna be spayed tomorrow as she has had 3 phantom pregancies now. Last time(in september) she would run at rabbits and wouldn't pick up,seemed like she was restricted. Soon as it passed, then back to brilliance. Again(this week), she wasn't herself and not running well(sluggish) so took her to the vets. The vet said it might cause other complications...so off to vets in the morning....gutted!!!

lurcher stopping in the middle of a course

Firstly never run him with another dog mate. Just you and him, plenty of bonding and let him get used to what the lamp does and the lamping game works. Maybe still too young to be lamping with yet, give him time off for a few months and concerntrate on his training. Recall, retrieving, stockbreaking etc etc. 11 months is still very young and plenty of time yet. -
Wheres the one of Mae???

I was a bit confused then, thinking that Mark had got rid of Lily (the bitch to my Xena) and Rabbithunters Tyson. Chester being the sire and some great details on the background of Xena, here next to me.

Cheers for this Andy. I was going to try and work it out myself but thank f**k you did it.
-
Yeah i saw that...but where does it say they are not proven? They could've come from a mate or someone he knows, who simply doesn't want them and the hassle of a litter of kits.

Alright lads and lasses, I'm in macclesfield and in need of a vasectimised hob to bring my jills out of season. Can anyone help? Cheers Gaz
-
So hare_n_hounds, as it answered ya question yet???......lol
-
Training?????? never done ferret training with pipes, never heard of it to be honest. 8 weeks or 12 weeks...i cant see what difference there is. I do agree tho, i think they can stay with the mother for a while, no rush.

Did you get those chocolates and flowers Millet asked me to send via interflora. His card kept getting declined so he asked me to pay.

Firstly Freelance,in truth mate although i obviously had half decent bags of bunnies with my dogs from the older generation of Minshaw dogs i never really went hell bent on going for the type of bags that Vic did,i was more interested in the hares, they brought decent £££ where a bunny was a ten bob job lol,my dogs all killed into the 40's with little fuss, the Bulpa dog when just a young dog killed 46 rabbits and 5 hares and i'm sure he'd og got into the 70's quite easily? ...as for Don storm323 well he's just about the same as my old dog,he's done over 40 several times and were it not for flat

Wanted help with rats needed near Okehampton, Devon!
derbylad1 replied to Horsemadmummy's topic in Ratting
Poison isn't shit at all....if used in the right way. However, for this kind of job you need to advertise on here for lads with their own smoker and terriers. I run my own pest control business and have started to get a few external rat jobs in. I asked for lads on here with smoker and terriers and loads of fellas offered to do it for nothing, they just wanted some work for the dogs. -
It comes down to what is one mans version of a jacker. I've seen blokes think their dog has jacked, but i saw a dog running until totally knackered and the hare just pull away. I've done myself in the past and not realised when that last run was. Like whats already been said....a jacker to me is a dog that starts a run and then just pulls up because its picking its own runs and deciding on its own when to run or not. And again check the dog over and ensure there are no underlying issues. But to me...if it was a case of the dog genuinely "jacking", then no i wouldn't breed from. Its not wo

I'd put another post on here...maybe the title of "any shropshire lads out there", and ask if you can tag along with someone to learn the ropes. If you were closer, i'd given you a hand. As for the pup, let it be just that for a week or two. No need to get doing any training at all until that pup has learnt to trust you and wants to do nothing but be with you and starts realises you are No1.

Its too hot to take ya dogs out mate. But sneak up to the rabbits, ensuring you have a knife in your mouth(this is for effects only) then just as your close enough, cut its throat from behind.

What i've seen on this thread and many others is that the ones that say they're shit have never owned one, just "seen" plenty. And the lads that say they're great have owned them. Has anyone that has owned, ever had a bad one. i do know of some poor incidents in the past.
