A couple of pics. Ty was an ugly dogs, but a real honest grafter. Sadly broke both of his front legs in a rabbit hole...now a pet. Miss the old fella.

wish my permission had those sort of numbers to get those kind of bags. Its a good job i'm prepared to travel. I find my best nights aren't the numbers, its the way the dog has worked to get the quarry. When i had Ty (coco's sire), one night there weren't much out and struggling. But then we turned a corner and Ty started to really dig deep. In the end went from barely nothing to 2 foxes, 3 hares and 16 rabbits. Not a massive haul....but my best session ever. Its not numbers, its the quality of the dog.

i said this before about the greyhound, but no one answered the question i put. If you add husky, they'd hard mouthed as hell and their pace is wank. Yes you'd bring in the stamina, but thats it. the negitives out weigh the positives. Does anyone own one, what they like to train.

won me £520 one night in manchester (f**k me i was pissed after that...lol), thats who he is!!!! Was that the night he won the Belle Vue Cock Of The North ? He had just went 3 rounds unbeaten through the Sunderland Grand Prix to Win a Group 1 then went to Belle Vue and went unbeaten through that Comp to win. Previous to that he made the Ladbrokes Summer Stayers Classic Final at Monmore over 3 rounds to take a bump at the first bend or he would of won that also. Just trying to be consistant Joe with my modesty. yes mate it was. I had 3 reverse forecasts come in that nigh

Greyhound???????....lol

sorry if this seems to be stretching out "the greyhound put to a minshaw line lurche", debate. But if the straight racing(or not) greyhound is put to the "lurcher", yes we'll gain some drive and pace back into the breeding. But what about some of the things the lurcher was bred for, retrieving, jumping, patience, the abilitly to learn as it goes through the time of a working animal. Now like i said before, bever seen the greyhound work in the field, so i'm asking that wouldn't you lose those fieldcraft skills that you "might" want. And with putting that drive and pace back in, you might also r

yeah good point mate...at least there will less chance of jackers, stalkers etc etc. at least with the greyhound blood you know what your getting. have you ever seen a minshaw line lurcher stalk the beam. with the collie being in there, it could rear its ugly head

This is exactly my thinking, so i totally agree. If the greyhound brings the speed/drive/size (or whatever) to the table, then aren't you better off getting a proven sire or dam that also has these attributes. I've never seen a greyhound doing what a good lurcher can do, in my opinion aren't they just too thick....i'll know doubt stand corrected on this...lol

i agree with what has already been said. it really depends on the injuries they've and how they've dealt with them. I was gonna totally retire coco at 6 after the arthiritus in her toe from an injury had got quite bad. However, i know i'll miss her not being there for ferreting and the short trips of lamping. Her is brilliant, marks well and loves to be out. So the plan is...plenty of good drugs..lol So a dog will tell you when they dont want to go anymore and when they're too old. Old dogs will always have a purpose.

if it is for 25 rabbits, then i know Mark Brick will not be interested. He really does some decent bags and he'll wanna show you what his dogs are made of.

Where does it say my bitch has given up running rabbits? Read the post again...although i dont why i am answering to this. I dont think this is Mark Brick...i have few ways to confirm this (i know a cumpter geek) and the other reason....the grammer is far too good.

Mae looks like she's gone a lot racier than i imagined she would, from last time a saw her......a long time ago now...lol

We are classed as a defence force when below 100,000 not a militia. Geoff, make sure you rinse them for the resettlement allowances. They're good at making it hard work to get it and not totally upfront with info. I've just got out after 22 years and made sure i got everything...the terminal leave, resettlement leave, the money, the extras. If you want any advice give me a shout and i'll try and help you out. Just don't do what alot of others do and wait for everything to come to them and land on their laps, its "your" resettlement so they do f**k all for ya. But you can get is very go

I wouldn't worry too much mate, at 13 months is still quite young. Whats her breeding/weight /height? only asking because some breeds take longer to mature physically/ mentally, might just not be ready yet
-
Well i say a heart beat...but give it another 2-3 seasons to prove herself first. If she's wank, then timber can get his wallet, refund please....lol

Only had mine 2 years and I've always had collie crosses, but in 20 years of lurchers this line excells in my eyes. But its the only one i've had, i've seen a few work and they've always impressed me prior to having xena (another reason why i got her). So far she has done what ever i've asked of her and some more, only time will tell if she continues to impress and get better. So yes i'd have another in a heart beat.

timber might explain better

as it had the insurance assessment yet? if it hasn't, then you could end being lumbered with a write off. and depending on the damage, it could be dangerous to drive. how good is your mechanic? its your choice

I thought i just answered that with my original reply to your question. As for lily jacking, i cant really comment as i wasn't there and i've heard different stories on what happened down in cornwall. All i know is, (this is how timber explained it to me, i think....lol) that it wasn't just your conventional jacking, it was like she gave up on the running game for a while. I believe she is back at it tho....not too sure
