  2. I can't seem to get the silver rivet bolt out? When you say "tap" it .............. do you mean get the nail/punch stuck in the hole and pull the rivet out?? There is no opening on the other side to tap it through?? My brain is tiny...............
  3. I have a few problems with the wiring being dodgy on my lightforce lamp at the moment, does anyone know how to strip the lamp to do a quick fix as i am most peed off at the moment with their shit product......

  5. dont have to kill them all mate, nothing rong with letting a few run for another day.do you catch and kill EVERYTHING you run like? just happy getting out and working the terriers Good reply.
  6. I might just do that,i have a few ideas in my head but, to be honest, the last one still hasnt sold out and its been five years!! I dont know whether lads with airguns dont buy books , but the market does seem quite constricted. Still, it could easily be done. I was thinking about a sort of 12 months of the year, hunting with airguns and the different quarry and situations encountered. Its all pie in the sky at the moment but we will see. I have wrote a couple of articles for the Airgun World but as yet i have had no feedback, so we will have to see.
  7. Some neat shooting there. Well done!
  8. I can see that springers will have a revival before long. The PCP market seems to be getting rather stale and benign. Wheres the character of guns these days? Don't get me wrong, i like my PCP, but theres something personal about my heavy 'ol 77.There will be more stories to follow as well as the evolution of the gun from a rusty scrap to a smart, dazzling tack-shooting, lethal piece of kit....
  9. Tell him to get a rimfire instead. All that power won't make him a better shot IMO.....
  10. Nice to bump into you today Rex.I have never seen legs so loooooong in my life...
  11. We reblued the 77 and added a gold trigger. Fitted a Vmach spring and piston head. shoots smooth, but i have had quieter guns. Thrown on some simmons whitetail scopes and im ready to roll. Bisley Long Range Gold were the pellet and first shot a woodie fell as if poleaxed. I quickly realised the trigger was too light, but i had no allen key with me so it was a case of making do. Shot 4 woodies in total and the dog did some brilliant retreives. last woodie of the night was obviously hit hard and yet tried to flap away but i could see from the trajectory that it was going to come down with a thud
  12. If you lamp all night(and i mean all night) then some dogs wont feed when they get home. Obviously you have to put something in their system, so i use something very tasty like a tin of corned beef or luncheon meat. That way they have some food in their stomachs. I often give my dogs half a tin of something tasty about 5 or 6pm on the night they are running...
  13. Just getting to the end of customising my 77 up and need a nice spring to go on the rifle. Any suggestions as to who makes nice slings, maybe slightly different from the usual run-of-the-mill types......cheers
  14. EEeerrmmm...No it isnt. My mistake i ment lungs No, your wrong also. If you cannot see a rabbit has myxi at a glance at its eyes then it doesnt have it.
  15. HH why did you not try a good one then..... any air arms, HW100, Falcon, Theoben, daystate. They are all top class. logun and Stealths i have never liked.
  16. Seems to me that theres alot of fools that are trying to truely stamp the word Great out of Britain. Where it will end?? no one knows. Lets hope some kind of civil war starts before the lunatics take over the asylum....
  17. Sorry, i meant the old buildings are now derelict. The new one has a fence so high that even plummers lurchers wouldnt be able to jump out of there.
  18. Readie, Eastmoor has now been closed down. A huge area that they are now trying to build on i was told by a lad i know lives near there.I have some fond memories of those short grass fields when i was a youngster... i remember the fields like it was yesterday,as i worked the farm that belonged to eastmoor school fields and woodland everywhere. There was always plenty of those funny sheep with dark chocolate wool and funny double horns. The farm is still there but its a bit delapidated the last time i was in the area. I learnt all about ferreting on those fields, but sadly today the
  19. Hunter, Chill out 'ol lad....Its only the internet matey. Don't worry if people dont believe you, as long as you know then thats all that matters. Just for the record i have seen rabbits taken over 60 yards with a sub-11ft/lb airgun. Head shot, stone dead.Range measured with a range finder. I have seen woodpigeons taken at long range with springers,as well as practically every other quarry species. just think back 20 years to when they weren't really many PCP's about. What did we kill the big bags with then? A springer.....

  21. Little bummer boy has a chip on his shoulder 'cos he wasn't accepted into Boyzone. Still thinks he's a boyband pin up with his 'nonce' fringe and extra thick heals. One word: Wannabe!!

  22. Well lads, its a funny 'ol conundrum this. I have been fortunate to have owned lots of airguns, both spring and PCP. To be honest the PCP's are quieter and often have a magazine . Thats great and quick back up shots are easy to perform. However, i do love the good old springers. When i get my HW77 up and running i will put a post or two up with what i shoot. The one good thing about springers is that you do not run out of air! im not joking, if i am doing a good stint with the gun i can soon shoot a 40 shot cylinder out. With great ease. You never run out of charge with a springer! Would i s
