  1. Thanks guys. I contacted the chap abroad but it turns out that for what i would want it would be about 350 euros! I really like the dark wood versions, is there no one (amateur or otherwise) in the UK that does these stocks? Cheers
  2. As Piano man said, they are top class. I have simmons on all my guns and i can't rate them high enough.
  3. Good news...... Hope you have a great time....
  4. Hi Basejumper, Always zero with the silencer on. As for the lack of stability from shot to shot, i wonder if some kind of lubricant could be fouling the chamber in any way. ?
  5. Anyone know where i could get hold of a custom stock for a 77? cheers
  6. Well i will surely have to try that soon.....
  7. Many thanks Guys. I shall endevour to try a few of those recipies and leave you feedback (pun intended!). Thanks for taking time out to reply.
  8. Hunting anything in the UK is totally illegal with a bow. However,an 80lb bow will kill most land mammals save for the very largest pachyderms.
  9. Ok, i write a few silly books. Big deal! Buy them, don't buy them.? Your choice guys, i have never forced anyone to buy them, or read them. And no, i do not post about dog work on here. If i did i would be called a liar, so then i would have to post pics to 'prove' what i did, then i would be called a braggart. So rather than that i just keep quiet and read the things others write about. Whilst some have been on here all afternoon mincing on about my books i have been out with the dogs. It seems that many today find sitting in front of a keyboard much easier than being out in the countrys
  10. Got a few woodies of late, anyone know any decent way of cooking them? I have just been roasting them and eating the breast cold with some pickle.

  12. This afternoon i shot like a complete ar5e! Two full magazines and not a critter in the bag. Honest! Just managed a crow and a squirrel, but the crow was well worth going out for, a free hand shot as the carrion landed momentarily. A superdome was on its case and the corvid came a-flapping to earth stone dead. After such diabolical shooting i nipped home to await darkness. I have just got in, proving that you do not need to go out late to shoot at night. Earlier the better. I have only walked one 250 yard section of roost, but its a place i know holds a remarkable head of columba polumbus.
  13. Good do Jazmin. I don't use Ir at all, but they are easy to see once you get your eye in. I guess i have seen about 200 tonight, see on next thread for finer details.
  14. I think you may be missing another point. The heavier pellets drop alot faster than the medium to light ones. If you are shooting an unknown range, as in a hunting situation, then you have more chance of not being accurate with the heavier pellet due to its trajectory. Have a go with Bisley Long Range golds if you can get some. They are very light, but a superb pellet in the field.I first used Magnums many years ago when i was still shooting an Airporter and i wasn't particularlly taken by them then. I fully agree with Phantom when he states that its where the pellet hits rather than the 'ene
  15. Woodies in the oaks, maggies in the birches. Let us all know how you go along.

    Good shooting fella's.
  17. Another word of warning. If the police pull you at the side of the road and ask to see the gun give them the gun still in its case. DO NOT take the gun out of its case unless you are on your permission. I have known lads loose their airguns for doing just that.
  18. Hi Jazmin, I'm not an expert at the whole shooting thing, but i have been night shooting well over twenty years now, back in the day when i was covering the front sight (remember them?) with white chalk so i could see! The theory is better than the practice! The best type of night i have found is when theres cloud in the sky. Forget the moon and all the romantic clap-trap, its cloud you need. IMO its best to go out earlier rather than later as the silhoettes are easier to spot. Before entering a wood look at the sky, you need the very best 'pink' to be in front of you. If its not then walk
  19. I don't think it matters what pellets you were using, the police will test their own types through the gun. Which i think is unfair.
  20. Belle isnt mine, I wish she was. And i believe thats how she is bred.
  21. Chinese are rutting now mate. That may be the cause.
